Use probiotics and do not let your doctor give you antibiotics. Avoid oily foods and all fried foods. Shampoo the hair daily, eat lots of veggies, no cokes,no fries, no McDonalds. It is a condition created from within and no external applications will correct an internal problem.
This is a remedy that I like. All you need is lemon juice, baking soda, witch hazel, and an oil-free moisturizer with salicylic acid. (like most moisturizers recommended for acne.)
So, here it is:
1. Splash your face with hot (but not too hot!) water.
2. Pat your face dry with a clean towel and then apply some lemon juice to your face. Leave it on for a couple minutes and then rinse it off. The lemon juice might sting a bit!
3. Make sure your hands are clean, then make a paste of baking soda and water in your palm and then use it to gently(!) scrub your face. (This will make your face feel very nice and smooth!) Afterward, rinse with cool water.
4. Finally, use a bit of witch hazel and your moisturizer. (I find the witch hazel helps the moisturizer to smooth on better.)
5. You're done! Now, just don't touch your face! And whatever you do don't pop your pimples!
As a side note, if you are female, birth control pills work wonders for acne.
I learned this from my mother and passed it along to my son and now my daughter. After using this for awhile I no longer had a problem with acne, my son was amazed.
Get a soap called Fels-Napa. It is a bar soap they used back in the day to do laundry. You will find it in the laundry detergent section. It is not pleasant smelling but it works.
At night lather this soap up and spread a good lather on your face leaving it on overnight. It dries and sucks the dirt and grease out of your pores. In the morning just lather it up with water and rinse it off. Do this each night until the problem is solved.
My remedy for getting rid of pimples asap is lemon and baking soda....first u cut a lemon in half then pour baking soda on top of the lemon and rub it on your face this will sting a little and u will want to scratch BUT DON'T SCRATCH....let it stay on u for about 20 mins then wash it off with warm water....after that you will start to see result trust me I did....o and drink lots of water...
All I do is wash my face tons of times each day, but not enough for my skin to start getting dry or peeling.
I also put on 'Equate' every night before I got to bed. It helps a lot..but I guess it just depends on your skin type.
Hoped I helped.
put some toothpaste on the zit and it will be smaller bye morning
calomine lotion at night dries it right up. My family has used this for years. Just be warned, if something happens in the middle of the night (robbery, fire, etc.) you WILL have a pink face and it will probably scare people! ha ha! No, seriously, it looks stupid but it's at night so who cares.... and anyways it works!
I suffered from acne and those ugly whiteheads and blackheads that everyone hates. And I started to change what I was doing.
I bought Acne Free after using Proactiv for a while (like 2 years). Proactiv really didn't do anything to my face. I now use Acne Free by University Medical. You can get it at Wal-Mart, Krogers, etc. in the facial cleansers aisle. It works!!! TRUST ME! If you use it TWICE a day (morning and night).
Then, I started working out again and noticed that my skin doesn't break out as much if...
1. Work out
2. Eat healthy
3. Use just the cleanser before and after the work out
Also, when you do break out, try dabbing a cotton swab (q tip) into hydrogen peroxide and apply it to the pimple/zit/blackhead/whitehead. It will foam/bubble but thats good. It helps clean the junk out when its open. I usually keep dabbing it on until it doesn't bubble/foam anymore. If you continue to dab hydrogen peroxide on it when you get a scab (I do this in the morning and night), it will get rid of the scab before you know it.
All of what I typed above...WORKS ONLY IF YOU GIVE IT TIME!!!
Hope it works for you!
I am 16 ana have tried everything from Avon to proactive to cheap soap for my acne! nothing works for me! so i looked around on the internet and found this. Mix 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon powder and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. mix it with you finger. apply it to your affected areas! well it burns like you will not believe, but it worked for me. i hope it works for you!
I have dry skin, but I also have acne, so one day my face was itching horribly, and I put hydrocortisone cream on my face, and noticed the next morning where acne and dry skin both were, almost healed. I used this for a few months and this helped me dramatically. When I would lay out in the sun alot also, this would help my acne as well, with the combination of all three my skin was virtually clear in no time.
