Hi,

I am sharing our own story. Our son had eczema since his birth. We had so many terrible nights, him scratching all night and us watching helplessely. We tried everything from steroid to natural home made remedies to ayurveda remedies to homeopathy, But all in vain. But things changed when our washer broke down and we bought the top of the line LG washer that has 'Sanitizing wash cycle'. After using the new washer our son's eczema got better within days. And this is how we believe it worked

We were applying a lot of vaseline and aquaphor to his skin regularly as doctors reccomend.Even though we were using organic cotton clothes the vaseline was getting absorbed in the fiber of the cotton and had made a film inside the fabric. That would not only negate the purpose of using cotton but make it worse. it was breeding ground for bacteria. His clothes would feel sticky from inside even though they were looking clean. We tried boiling clothes in order to get rid of the vaseline but made no difference. But the new washer uses the sanitizing cycle and gets rid of it. It takes more than twice the time to run the cycle but the results are amazing.

For us it was nothing short of a miracle. I feel the pain of all the parents and the kids that are going through this terrible experience. But , please check if a simple change like this can make a difference in your case. I hope for the best for everyone.

I have had Eczema for 17 years, literally my entire life . I still battle Eczema on a daily basis, but for the younger kids who have it I would suggest bleach baths. I wish my mom would have done it for me when I was younger. It doesn't cure Eczema by any means but it will help tame a really bad break out. Use about a shot glass or a little more in a somewhat shallow bath and sit in the bath for 15-20 minutes. It sounds crazy buts its worth a try.

I found this website page last year when I was suffering for the 2nd year in a row with eczema. I tried so many remedies, and started using a cortizone cream (Cortizone 10) and it worked. BUT the next year it came back worse than before. As an RN I know that cortizone is NOT good for the skin over a long period of time. Well, what I didn't remember was that cortizone can thin your skin. Over time this causes even more damage to the tissues and they're more susceptible to injury/illness. So when my eczema returned, it was worse. Long story short, I promised that I would come back on this site when I found a cure that worked for me. I began using coconut oil. It was truly a miracle (and a natural one at that!). Instantly the itch was gone. Later that day the redness was diminishing, within 3 days it was almost completely gone! I wanted to cry I was so happy. After a week, you could barely even see any signs of a rash. Along with the coconut oil, I did take a turmeric supplement. I have NOT broken out in a rash since last year and if I do, I'm going right back to using coconut oil. A side benefit, coconut oil is excellent on toast; or coconut oil with sugar and cinnamon on toast is like a dessert :-) The tastiest brand and best brand I have used for my rashes (and a snack...weird in the same sentence, I know!) is the Nutiva brand. Our local herb shop sells it, but it is sold on Amazon.com. The turmeric I used was a store brand (500 mg.) one to two capsules/day. Turmeric and coconut oil both have wonderful uses for the health of your body. Google them and read all you can to help yourself or a loved one. Good luck and God bless!!

My Daughter has struggled with Eczema Since the Day She practically Hit 1yrs old, As a mother when you see anything on your Child Skin that may Cause her Pain You Panic and So I did. It pained My heart Each Tine I saw her literally tearing into her skin. After taking her to the Doctor She got Prescribed Hydrocortizone Cant remember the Brand None the less It appeared to work at first cleared her skin up beautifully But after a month or so It start appearing again, I got another prescription and Continue using after a while It appear this cream was no longer working, went back to Doctor She gave her another same thing worked for a while then Stopped, At this point I am highly ticked If the Doctor Cant help her, how was I suppose to, cream after Cream Lotion after lotion I was getting desperate and spending More than I could afford Monthly trying to Find Something to Calm Her skin. After A while I decided to do my own research and find a way to help my child, I went online and looked up everything i could, After reading all i could I decided to try using Hydrocortizone 10 ointment I had previously bought in rite Aid cost me $10 but the bad news It only last me mybe 2-3days top My next step was to buy The Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion, After Buying the Ointment I notice I didnt have Enough money on me at the Time for the Vaseline Lotion But My Daughter Still Needed A lotion, There was a Discount store next to where i was So i decided to See what they Had IN there I eventually Saw This lotion Its Called ('Intimate'-Vitamin E Lotion') I only Spent a $1.00 on this. Kept Doing this For 3days until the Ointment was Finish all was well, She did not appear to be itching So i decided to Continue using the Lotion and Buy another Ointment later in the week Just in Case She started Itching again Her skin Stayed Calm and All the Scratches From her digging in her skin was literally Cleared up within a week, I guaratee You this is No Joke, The itching came back after about a month but the Break out did not I went and Got another ointment and Applied it again For the 3 days then went back to the Lotion alone I have had Great result So far with this hope it help another Mother. I had a gradual onset of nummular eczema on my legs. These are coin-shaped patches, often in older men (me). Years of steroid creams never did much for long. Finally I tried applying castor oil after showering. I rubbed it into every lesion, about a dozen. Then I wore a special throw-away pair of pants for the evening so no worries about ruining clothing, as the oil did not completely rub in. Kept it up for 4 months, every day. My wife was was dubious when at 3 months there seemed to be little improvement. But castor oil has unique properties and has been known in ancient times as 'Palma Christi', or the hand of God. My eczema is now completely gone! Persistence and consistency did the trick, and at minimal cost. I am so happy to be able to wear shorts again!

Try using pine tar soap, as a kid I had bad eczema on my legs and arms and we asked our local health food store and they recommended it to me and it worked great and no longer have it

SERIOUSLY AMAZING.

Nothing worked for me until I found this.

DR DANS CORTIBALM

It's a lip balm with 1% hydrocortisone. I found that other creams don't hold in the moisture very well, resulting in flaking skin. I use it on the patches on my face. Might seem strange but it's amazing and you can even put foundation on over the top without it getting all dry!! I also use it on the spots on the inside of my elbows/knees etc when I'm going through an itchy phase!

Nothing else has worked for me so GIVE IT A GO.

Drink plenty of distilled or bioled water. Add a slice of lemon in your glass or just squeeze some in.
If you cannot get distilled water put a glass of it out in the sun for over four hours.

Sleep in a room with no light and keep your cell phones and electronics well away.(Its best to use your room only for sleeping/sex etc, put your pc in another room. you want to switch your mind off from the world, a text message going off every 30minutes doesnt work). Get into a good pattern, go to bed before 10pm every night. 9+ hours of sleep is prime for eczema sufferers.

Apply moisterizer after baths, showers and whenever your skin is dry. I use fatty cream and melagel. When my eczema is really bad, steriod creams go on- but they are my last resort.(IMPORTANT:too much of steroid creams and you can end up getting asthma like i did, when i stopped useing the creams, asthma went away).

Face masks for eczema: organic manuka honey is a real beauty. Apple cider vinegar- google braggs acv. Read the book its well worth it. Lemon, sugar and water.
If you have acne you'll find it will also dissapear! :)

Eat your veggies and fruit. Organic is best. Try ovoid acidic foods, pinnaple tommotoes etc.

Find your triggers, is it your washing powder- try sensitive products, what you use in the shower. go natural products with no bad chemicals added-avoid fragrance in your products at all costs! Dairy and weat are too common!(If its dairy dont switch to soy, thats bad for you)

Go to Dr Mercola's site right now, or write it down. He has a load of interesting stuff that will help you.

I take Evening primrose oil, organic flaxseed oil, krill oil(when it arrives), probiotics, magnessium and vitb6 some times, at least 2 Green teas a day. And zinc because here in New Zealand our soil is zinc depleated. My Derm said only use Dove products and i found a huge improvment compared to the shit i was using.

Sweating is supposed to be really good because it gets all the toxins out of you. unfortunatly i cant do it i start to itch and it makes my eczeama worse. Try a sauna i havn't done this yet! On this note: excersise once a day, even if its a 15 minute walk. Get your heart beating and oxegen flowing!

Sun light: try to get 10+minutes of sun a day(but dont sunburn). if you cant and stay inside like me most days, try a vitamin D Supplement.

Salt water can make eczema better for some and crap for others, go to the beach its good to relax anyway. For me it made mine worse, and i had to run back to my hostel and put fatty cream on because it made my skin so dry!

Maybe get a humidifier, moisten the air. I have heard 35 to 60% for dry skin... Something to look into.

Stop itching!! I use pinetarsol to stop myself itching, its great! google it. The old oat meal grinded up bath also can do the trick.

Dont get stressed, think possitive. Keep away from smokers or people who are negative.

google this please i beg you:
ease that itch dr mercola

sorry for my spelling, smile and have a good day, lets keep our eczema at bay.
