1. Drink lots of water. (I've been drinking about 6 to 9 glasses a day.)
2. Take fish oil vitamins. (One a day.)
3. After condioner in the shower, rinse it out with cool to cold water. (I flip my head upside down and rinse it out. I also rinse my scalp while I'm upside down.)
4. Use a little olive oil and massage into areas with the worst dandruff.

I also use a dandruff shampoo and Scalpicin but I barely use the Scalpicin since it is for itch only. The type of dandruff shampoo varies with each person. I use Head and Shoulder that is in a dark blue bottle.
If your head is itchy, massages using your fingertips works.
I've been doing this for 2 days and have already seen results.

I've had dandruff for years. I've tried almost everything from salt rinses to medicated shampoos. The only thing that seems to be helping now is Tea-tree oil. I've been using it for almost two weeks and I've noticed a remarkable difference. I've stopped itching my scalp, my hair looks healthier, and the dandruff is going away. Before you use the oil make sure you have no scalp abrasions. You just take some of the oil and gently rub it into your scalp. Wait about two-three hours and shampoo and condition as normal.

I have had dandruff for the past couple years now, specifically around my hairline near my forehead. I have tried numerous things- baking soda, Head & Shoulders, Selsun Blue, Neutrogena T-Gel, tar shampoo, and my doctor prescribed me with a steroid-based lotion which made me break out.

Then, I rescued a dog who had a skin condition (flaky, itchy). I did some research and found that fish oil could be beneficial for him. I have been giving him fish oil supplements daily, and have been taking them myself... and I HAVE FINALLY SEEN RESULTS!!! No more flakes, no more itching! TRY IT!!!

Ok, so me and my best friends were at the pool today and we always bring shampoo so we can wash our hair afterwards. Me and only 1 other friend have dandruff problems and she brought Men's Axe Dandruff shampoo. Well I tried it and it works like a miracle! You have to get it and it smells minty so it doesn't have to smell like men's. Just try it. It works like a DREAM!

Use apple cider vinegar, to get rid of dandruff. Apply apple cider vinegar into your hair, enough to wet your scalp. Do this five minutes before you shower, then wash your hair as you normally would, while showering. You will start to see a difference within a week or so. You will also notice that your hair will be healthier, and softer.

Baking Soda! Dandruff is a fungus and baking soda kills fungus. It's easy and cheap. Wet hair in shower, pour a handful of baking soda on it, massage in & rinse. Use daily for 1 week or more. Then use weekly thereafter. There is no smell, it's non-toxic (except to fungus) and it treats even the most severe dandruff.

Apply warm cocnut oil on the scalp and hair. Leave on for 2 hrs. Wash off with a shampoo that does not contain Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate. Once a week, use nizral shampoo (2% from Johnson and Johnson), on the scalp alone. This is the only most effective treatement for stubborn dandruff.
