The first time I seen the wart in my genital area, I freaked out. So immediately I searched for home remedies. Acv, burned my skin, and took to long to see results. So I thought if I could stop the wart from breathing it might fall off.. to my surprise it actually WORKED.. Thank GOD... So what I did is took regular dental floss, try to pre knot it, pull the wart up enough to tie the knot under the wart.. Make sure the whole wart is above the knot, then tighten the knot at the base of the wart.. It will hurt, but it works.. The wart will start to shrink in a day or two, continue to tighten the floss, cutting off all air supply... Within three days it will turn black and fall off.. Let it fall off by itself, to prevent scarring... Hope this helps someone as it did me... GOD bless you..

I didn't originally intend on writing my own experience but I figured if it could help someone out I might as well. I first used peroxide to clean the area then did the ACV, diluted because people said it burns, it didn't burn me at all, just a cooling sensation and worked just as well. Because of where my warts are (around the vaginal opening) I soaked a tampon and had it half in and half out for about an hour and a half while I laid in bed and watched tv cause obviously I can't really walk around. After that I used peroxide again and then betadine, followed by tea tree oil. After one day the difference was HUGE. I didn't have any spreading like some people have said so maybe I'm just lucky.

I've been with one person, who told me he was a virgin. So a cheater and/or liar got me here. It sucks, but it's life.

Hey all. I had the feeling I had genital warts for 3 months now, so I've been following this thread.

Initially, all I got from my doctor's visits was misdiagnosis and wrong information about STIs. You wouldn't believe the things I was told (considering she's a medical doctor). I finally went to a gynaecologist, and I was 'happy' he confirmed I have GW. Mine are mainly internal, so not easy to treat. The only option I was given is getting them burned away under full anaesthesia. I am TERRIFIED of anaesthesia (I have the irrational fear of not waking up), so for now I want to explore all my options.

I have a very good homeopath. She recommended me to take Thuja 200c. 5 of the big granules or 12 if they are very small ones. You take this dose for 3 consecutive days in the morning on an empty stomach, 1 hour before having breakfast. This is the treatment she recommended ME. Homeopathy works energetically. In order for a treatment to be successful, the remedy has to be the right one for you. So best is to go see someone yourself. If you don't have access to a homeopath, it wouldn't do any wrong to give it a try, but it could be a waste of money. I'll let you know how it works for me.

Could someone let me know whether I can use ACV also internally? It seems a bit difficult.

I told my best friend and she was very practical about it. She said: 'so you won't be able to have sex when you have an outbreak'.

I'm still in the phase where I am angry and disappointed. I only recently started being sexually active with someone. He kept making me feel bad about wanting to use a condom ... so 1 time he kept saying how he'd recently been tested anyway and that he didn't have anything ... and I gave in (even though I knew he's recently been with quite a few women). I think this is what makes me so angry: I did something I didn't want to do and felt pushed. I never thought that I would just give in, so I'm disappointed with myself and feel stupid.

I know it's by far the end of the world, but I'm still in the initial shock. It doesn't matter how much you know about STIs or how careful you are ... sometimes it just hits you.

I just needed to share this. I'm happy to hear of any advice. As I said, I have internal warts, deep inside (close to cervix but not on cervix).

Wishing you all the best.

This isn't exactly a home remedy, but I'm overseas and haven't been able to visit my OB/GYN yet. Anyway, when the bumps appear, I use a hemorrhoid cream. It doesn't burn and it helps with the itching. It typically takes a week or two for the bumps to disappear. Keep in mind that the bumps will come back; this is not a cure, just a temporary fix.

I've been suffering from Genital Warts for years. I think the overall best remedy to remove Genital Warts is to boost your immune system to fight if off. I alos tried Skinhale Wart Remover to remove my genital warts whenever they appear.

Apple Cider Vinegar didn't work for me. Plus it stinks! From all my experience this is what I recommend.

First: Boost your immune system to fight off genital warts.
Second: Use Skinhale to remove any current Genital Warts.
Third:As a last resort Apple Cider Vinegar can work but it may take weeks! But if you do use it, apply ACV to a cotton swab and place on the warts 2 times a day covering with tape. Repeat daily for about a month. It should work but beware it does smell really bad. Good luck and stay strong. You are not alone.

I also applied alcohol and its gone! Love to this site! I posted my story at the HPV category though I'm not sure 100% it was HPV or something else. But as in the other two posts in this genital warts category alcohol worked fine with me too! Yippyyy

Hi All,
I ve been following this thread for a few years and checking in looking for remedies and seeing how some of you have coped with your GW's. Ive gotten a lot of valuable advice.
My story: I was diagnosed about 8 years ago. I started out with about two or three small warts. I wasnt completely sure of what it was but after much internet research I had come to terms that I had GW's. I visited my doctor an received several treatments of Aldara. For me it seemed as thought the Aldara made it worse before it made it better. I continued to take it. However, for some warts I never made it through the complete treatments because it just got too bad. Aside form the sensitivity and scarring it just made the small warts bigger. Next, I went on tho burning them off with little success and even buying a at home wart freeze treatment kit(please dont try this at home, LOL)
Next, after much internet research for natural remedies, I've tried colloidal silver and ACV. ACV worked fine but I was very concerned about the scarring on the sensitive parts of my vajayjay. (My warts were never internal just mainly on the outside and in the area between my labia majora and minor). Anyway, I liked ACV but I knew that I was only treating what was on the outside because the warts kept coming back. About 10 months ago I had another bout after having a clear phase for about 3 months, I read a comment on this thread from someone who used a multivitamin to subside their warts. She didnt want to give a brand name but she mentioned that one of the ingredients in the multi-vitamin were mushrooms so I went on a hunt. I was tired and my love life and confidence were taking a serious beating. I didn't want to get too close to anybody because this ish is too hard to explain to anyone. I think I found the multi vitamin. Its made by Irwin Naturals. It took about a month and a half to two months to notice results. Also, I treated the visible warts with ACV when I began the vitamins but I can honestly say that since I have been taking them, I have yet to see another outbreak. But first off let me say, I dont take them on a regular basis because Im bad at committing to taking pills on a regular basis. I would take them regularly for about 20- 25 days straight and for bout a week I would stop and pick back up again until I run out. The suggested dosage from the manufacturer is 3/day. Not bad but I dont always remember and I would just end up taking two a day.
Well, this is what worked for me and this is absolutely the longest that I have gone without getting warts. If you try this and are successful please reply. This method is still new to me and I dont know if it was the vitamins that made it go away or am I just in a dormant phase. Hope this works for you.

another remedy that may work is the baking soda and castor oil remedy.
basically what you want to do is make it into a paste.
1 spoon of castor oil
1 spoon of baking soda
you mix them together until it turns into like a tooth paste texture. if its too watery add more baking soda.
then you should have a band aid, or tape which ever works best.
you can use a Q-tip to get some of that past and put it on the infected area, cover it up with tape or band-aid and leave it there for the whole night.
it will shrink.. i hope this helps. and pray that God will lead you, and when you are healed all praise and Glory goes back to Him. blessings.

I posted about a week ago, thanking everyone for their invaluable input, and as promised, thought I'd share my story. I'm a mid 40s male, and I had between 6-12 small bumps on the base of, and on, my penis. I've had these annoying things for over a year, and I struggled to even properly figure out what they were. They appeared after shaving one day, so I assumed for some time that they were the result of razor burn, but they refused to fade. I ruled out ingrown hairs, and while they sort of resembled GWs from pictures on the internet, that really didn't seem to be right either. My best guess was MC, but really that's all it was - a guess. In any event, as you all know, it's extremely frustrating and demoralizing having something like this. Early on I even tried plucking them with tweezers, but they'd only return again. After reading this site, I opted for ACV. And it worked. So this is what I did: DAY 1 - first application of the day was 3 hours (I soaked a few cotton balls in ACV, placed them on the bumps, and wrapped stretch 'n hold gauze around it to secure in place, and then put briefs on to hold everything properly). Yes, it burned, and when I removed it, they were indeed white which I thought was positive. Second treatment of the day was about 4 hours later, and I did the same thing for about 2 hours. No further change. DAY 2 - In the morning when I woke up I noticed they were turning grey. I did 3 treatments that day, each for about 1.5 hours. After the first treatment in the morning, some of the bigger ones were now black. Yay!!. All of this is a little painful, so I had an epsom salts bath at the end of the day and that seemed to help me. DAY 3 - I did one treatment in the morning for about 1.5 hours but the pain was too much so I pulled it off, and that was a good idea, because I was starting to get a chemical burn from the ACV near the area of the bumps. Yikes! I decided to give my body a break, and stopped using the ACV, but would put Vitamin E on my skin to help heal. The bumps were mostly all black by this point, and I just let them be. DAY 4 - not much change, still had the chemical burn, still applied Vit E., but did not apply any more ACV. DAY 5 - The black bits on the bumps flaked off on their own, and the chemical burn was 95% gone. YAY!!!! That was about a week ago now, and I'm as good as new now. I will say that on DAYS 6,7 and 8 I did apply some Potassium Iodide on what were by now very small bump remnants that remained as I had read some people had success with that. I don't know if that really helped or not, but it didn't hurt. But yes, they are now all gone. I still don't really know what they were, and I don't really care. I will warn you though: a few people here left the ACV application on overnight - DON'T DO THIS!! Everyone's skin is different, and while some people might be able to do this, not everyone has the same skin sensitivity. A chemical burn is NOT fun. You do not need to overdo it - more is not better in this case. Thankfully, I listened to the pain and took it off before it did any serious damage. Test your body/skin out and start with an hour or two, and go from there. This does work. Good luck to all.
