72 Home Remedies for Urinary Tract Infection

I've suffered from UTIs quite extensively in the past. Most recently I had one that would not go away was on several rounds of antibiotics and it would not cure. I tried cranberry pills, vitamin c and honey remedies. Finally it got so bad I ended up in the hospital with a ripped bladder. I refused to go on another round of antibiotics and a nurse told me about having a glass of water every hour with 1-2 teaspoons of baking soda in it. Tastes absolutely awful but works. Within two days I was cured. Now when I feel one come on I do the same trick and within a few hours I am completely fine again.

To cut a long story short ...just got plain honey & dutch cinnamon from my local supermarket... mixed a tablespoon of each with a little warm water, drink first thing in morning & last thing at night for a few days, then reduce to just once a day for a few days....I might keep having it once a day for ever n ever :o) Melbourne, Australia

UTI used to be a massive recurring problem. Unfortunately I can not function without coffee and have been neglectful of the things that keep them at bay. Have been on antibiotics continuously during my pregnancy. Have tried many home remedies and the best that works for me is PARSLEY tea. Just buy bags of fresh herb, boil it for about 10 minutes and drink worm or cold. Smells worse than it tastes, so not bad at all. It is also good for your skin.

Hi, I been suffering with low urinary tract infections all my life. 3 years ago someone send me e-m with natural remedy for fighting E coli bacteria in your urinary tract as well intestines.
It works excellent for me -
125 gr whole lemon with skin
125 gr. parsley root, or if you cannot get it , parsley leafs are good too.
100 gr honey ( as natural you can get, better )
100 ml virgin olive oil
Wash lemon with brush, and remove the thin layer of the outside skin with hand grater. Cut it in smaller pcs. and put in blender.
Do the same with parsley root, or wash and cut a bit before putting in blender parsley leafs.
Add olive oil and honey, and blend it until it`s become creamy.
Put it in the clean glass jar with lid, and keep it in the fridge.
Take one big plastic spoon on empty stomach in the morning, and before eating in the evening.
Do this for 2 weeks, and if you feel good stop, or if not yet, continue for another week or two.
Start using this remedy as soon you start feeling first signs of discomfort , it will disappear faster.

I had an awful uti that would not go away for months, even after trying two types of antibiotics. Finally I did a ton of research and decided to try something I had read...low and behold my uti was gone in 2 days! Remedy = drink 1 tablespoon of manuka honey and 1 tablespoon of organic cinnamon in warm water right before bed.. I promise you will start to feel better by the next morning. Do this for a full week and you will be completely cured. It truly works wonders!

Thank you to this website I found a great remedy for a UTI infection. I used the apple cider vinegar with baking soda mixed with about 4 oz of water. I took my first dose in the evening and by the next morning I was feeling much better. I have continue to take twice a day for a couple of days and feel 100% better! Thank you again!

Want to thank Debbie who posted using mega doses of vitamin C for UTI. It is working for me. Bought the kind with Rose Hips, 1000 mg vitamin c per tablet. Purchased at Sams Club. Took 5 tablets every 2 hours for 8 hours. Great results here. Also, I bought a sitz bath at my pharmacy and used it as a soak of epsom salt and a little salt and peroxide. Relief was immediately for pain. UTIS are horrible. So thankful for this remedy!

Essential oils work great! Thieves essential oil worked for me. Lemon, oregano, and others are supposed to do the same. Be sure to use a therapeutic quality oil from an established company.
