My little dog had mange bad. I read about the borax hydrogen peroxide mix on your site and by golly, it worked in three weeks. I also sprayed him with AC vinegar. I can't find borax here in Granada, Nicaragua, so I husband my supply quite closely. The neighbors have a dog that plays with mine, and he had mange and was undernourished, so in sympathy, I fed him dry dog food with a little bacon grease and /or oil from fried chicken. His mange cleared up completely. It must have been a faulty immune system due to a poor diet. My little mutt thanks you for the help.

I have used sump oil dirty old sump oil and it has a great measure of success It did not cure but it removed the mites long enough for the hair to regrow so Now i will be trying the peroxide mix to kill and the sump oil to contain as its cheap and easy just rub in all over and leave (I suppose not good for indoor animals)

Mange- We have a dog kennel and in the last 13 years have had two of our pups get d. mange. The cost was unbelievable for treatment, and was not working. We decided on a whim to try tea tree oil shampoo and the actual oil to the spots. Within two days, the areas had a whitish scabbing and within a week you could see the hair in ths spots growing back. We also started adding yeast tablets and garlic to their diet. Not sure which worked, but with the three items above, we are now mange free.

I tried the suggested borax cure, and my bichon isn't reacting well. Perhaps his skin is just too sensitive. I did a little more research and found this great natural remedy that's inexpensive and sounds like it's a miracle cure for every type of pest problem--it's cedar based. Lots of good article on the site about why mites are getting worse, why you shouldn't use frontline or advantage, etc. I haven't tried this remedy yet, but the articles and testimonials sound great. And whereas borax can be toxic, this remedy isn't. I'm ordering this for myself today!

do a search for 'the cedarcide store'

or cedarcidestore dot com

Okay! So last week I had read several blogs here that said to try the Borax and Peroxide combo! My mastiff got mange and we are guess its from all the feral rabbits that run around our house, as we have noticed that they have the hairloss assiciated with mange and he hasnt been around any other dogs but ours! So.. back to remedies, noticed that husbands pug was scratching, had hairloss the whole nine yards and I had heard that Desitin, yes the diaper rash ointment.. worked wonders.. well, on the mastiff I put teh Borax mix and the pug the desitin! I have to say I am so PRO DESITIN for mange, our pug, has no redness, no more scratching and in just a few days where she had no hair, its back... her whole under belly was bald and now she has a great looking layer of fine hair!!! DESITIN ALL THE WAY!!!!!!! My mastiff on the other hand, not as red, still scratchy, so I think that I am gonna buy stock in Desitin as he is 200 lbs!!!

Try NU STOCK salve. Search it in google. Haven't found any skin disorder, yet, that it won't fix.
