Im allergic to bug bites i recently found out by my doctor , but before i was told that , and had to use a medication , i used HYDROCORTIZONE.USE IT!! nuff said...
if you have a bug bite by the product 'After bite' they sell it almost everywhere and it may sting a bit when you put it on but it wont itch anymore :)
WORKED OVER NIGHT! Just take a cotton ball and dab some on to the bites! GOOD-LUCK :D
I can definitely attest to the rubbing alcohol..I have a bottle of 100% that I keep in the bathroom 'just in case'..well over the 4th of July holiday I believe my feet and ankles were eaten by bugs; I have about 10-12 bites all over that area; it's been itching for 3 days and not even Cortizone10 helped! I read the alcohol idea on here and went straight to the bathroom, opened the bottle, and dumped half of the bottle on each ankle/foot...stood there for about 4 minutes letting it evaporate, then rinsed it off with hotter-than-blazes water. Itching is COMPLETELY gone!!
Brown Recluse Bite. DO NOT POP WHITE HARD LOOKIG BUMP. ICE IT, AND IF BITE BURST USE YOGART ON IT UNTIL HEALED. I FOUND THIS OUT AFTER A STAY IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 4 DAYS. GOT ANOTHER BITE 5 WEEKS LATER AND IT WORKED.
This one is a little strange but ULTRA effective:with a q-tip mix up some Neosporin with some mint toothpaste (the mint helps numb the itch and the neosporin takes care of any pain) and rub on the bite, it will semi harden in a few minutesso that you can rub it it with your fingers without ruubbing it away or getting too sticky and after that it should become dry like most creams
I was reading over these remidies and walking into myu kitchen and was looking thru my meds drawer and i tried using on my mosquito bite (10-15 bites)i tried Gold Bonds Foot Cream For Reliving Irritated Skin. I stung for a while like 3 mins and then i couldent feel the bites anymore.
I had a couple of insect bites that wouldn't heal. They lasted about 8 months.
Very itchy at times, scabbed over at times, bled when scratched at times.
I tried golden seal, chickweed, garlic, aloe vera, cayenne pepper and herbal preparations. Also, did hot and cold compresses and sunbathing. Finally, went to the doctor who told me they were cryo actinic keratosis - precancerous spots. I had heard that skin cancer is caused by too much fat in the diet and too much sunshine, so
I stopped using a lot of olive oil and kept treating the bites with fresh cut aloe vera and fresh slices of garlic.
Praise God! The bites are finally healing.
Windex Cleaner stops the itch fast.
I am horribly allergic to mosquito bites, and what's worse, they really like me, especially my feet. When bitten, it swells up and itches for weeks, often bleeding.
I've only found one thing that works, and at age 43, I just discovered it last summer: Solarcaine, that stuff you put on sunburns. It contains a topical analgesic (and something else for healing). When I use it, the sting and itch go away, and so does the bite.
