It seems that there is a lot of different options and opinions about cellulite. But do they work? I have tried many. It isn't genetic as my Nana had eight children and no cellulite, my mother just had two and no cellulite, my older sister had 6 children..she is overweight and no cellulite. I on the other hand had 4 children, have been fit all my life..was an aerobic instructor and Tai Chi teacher and it started to appear as a teenager in a small area..and that was when I was a ballet dancer and always ate well as my mother was very particular about diet. I have seen women of all ages getting massaged for this problem and it is only temporary so it must be a much deeper or emotional issue than diet...I have lived on Cattle stations with old people who have lived on corned beef and damper and cooked with dripping and guess what! no cellulite or health problems...but no stress either..just a relaxed and casual lifestyle. So there it is....lifestyle and attitude plays a big role..it is slowing working for me..finally.
I wanted to cry my cellulite was so bad! But i read in a magazine this very simple sollution!! All you need to do is use any body lotion you can find rub on the area of cellulite for a few minutes and leave it. Then when you have a bath or shower use exfoliating gloves or ball and rub very hard in a circular motion going towards your heart, again do this (hard) for a few minutes. Before you get out of the bath/shower splash your cellulite area with cold water. Once out repeat the moisturising process. You will need to do this every day for week and a half/two weeks and the outcome is great :)
Just a thought, we are all sharing remedies for cellulite...but just a question...
I was reading a plastic surgery pamphlet. They talk about how unsightly cellulite was...then they went on to say that 90 percent of women were affected by it.
Did you ever think that since 90 percent of women have it, that maybe it is actually supposed to be there and we have been tricked into thinking there is something wrong with it when there isn't?
I'm still gonna try the coffee grounds...just saying...
I haven't gotten a chance to try this out yet....but I want to asap. Ya'll let me know how it works for you. Good luck!!
Dr Oz’s Cellulite Coffee Sugar Scrub Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup coffee grounds
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- olive oil
How to Make Dr Oz’s Coffee Sugar Scrub Cellulite Home Remedy
Doctor Oz said that Jodi’s Cellulite Home Remedy works because caffeine enhances fat metabolism and so when it is topically applied, coffee absorbs and removes liquid and fat from your skin, which can decrease the appearance of cellulite. Dr Oz said this Cellulite Home Remedy can temporarily make your cellulite disappear, but it is not a long term solution. You should think about doing this Cellulite Home Remedy a couple of times a week.
1. Apply olive oil to your areas with cellulite (back of your thighs and upper arms for example).
2. Combine the coffee grounds and brown sugar.
3. Use the coffee scrub on your cellulite areas by moving in circular motions.
4. Rinse off. Of course, the easiest way to do this Cellulite Home Remedy is to do it in the shower!
I am the same Lexie that posted 8 posts under this one. I want to share my most recent remedy (much easier than the last one I posted.)
AZTEC SECRET INDIAN HEALING CLAY. Z
You can purchase this online or at your local whole foods.
When the powder (Aztec secret Indian healing clay) is mixed with organic apple cider vinegar it becomes a very detoxifying, tightening, powerful clay.
Make your clay (directions on the jar) and apply to your cellulite (I cover my thighs and but) let dry. It takes a while so be sure you're in a comfy position as this stuff turns very hard and gets extremely tight. I usually stand (the price we pay to fix our imperfections lol) you can lay down in the tub too. Whatever works for you.
As it dries it will get very tight. Your skin will feel tight and unmovable (it's working..) let it be.
If you have sensitive skin you may want to test on a small patch of skin first.
When it's Finally dry (45 min -1hr later.. Bring a book or radio) fill the tub up with warm comfortable water and soak. This will soften the clay as it is hard to just scrub off. Soak for as long as you want (the clay is a very good detoxified and will pull toxins from your skin so you may feel tired after the bath but that's a good thing!)
stand up and rinse the rest off.
Your skin will be red for about 20 min. Then you will be amazed.
After my skin is dried I use efagold coconut oil on my entire body. It's an amazing moisturizer (also a key thing to keep up on when battling cellulite)
Ladies, this clay has been around for hundreds of years. Cleopatra used it in her beauty rituals.
This clay can be used for bug bites (even bad ones like brown recluse), sun burn, acne (most common use today), for wrinkles, for hair, and also be taken internally daily as a detoxifier. It is known to have healed many sick people when taken internally.
Please try this for your cellulite. The coffee cocoa butter scrub is good, but this is better.
Email me with questions ladies. I'll help any way I can.
Much love. Stay positive.
Hi everyone! On the coffee treatment for cellulite...trying to figure out what works the best. Wrap vs. message? I've seen message remedies and wrap remedies...I need the one that's most effective. Some use sugar, and some use course salt in the coffee mixture...does it matter? Can't wait to try this!!
Have you tried Endermologie? I did it and the results were amazing (20 treatments). You do have to do maintenance once a month or it comes back. But the treatments are so awesome you wont mind coming back.
- Almost all cellulite gone
- Skin visibly tighter
- Took away love handles, inner thighs, bra fat area. And lifted my butt!
Its definitely a little pricier but I've had it my whole life and now I wear mini-skirts again. Im so happy!
I tried the topical stuff and had no luck. I saw on Shark Tank this tape called Skinnies Instant Lifts. They are unbelievable. It is only temporary, but man does it work. They are clear and lift the skin making the cellulite smooth away, so your legs look very tight and firm. Love them they are my new favorite find.
I just wanted to chime in here as yet another 'skinny' girl with cellulite (thanks Nanna!). I am going to try the coffee grounds tonight in hopes that it works, but nothing burns me more than hearing 'lose weight'. Ummm... I work out faithfully 5 days a week, I haven't touched junk food in YEARS, I don't drink anything besides water and green tea, and I take epsom salt baths regularly. Guess what? STILL THERE!!
I have tried massagers, fancy wraps (only temporary- hours really), and every cream out there. Honestly, the only long term method of reducing cellulite is expensive plastic surgery.
It's not about toxins (I am squeaky clean... my diet helps me 'go' at least twice a day) or being overweight or even a lack of vitamins (I take essential fatty acids --fish oils--daily as well). It's simply one of those unlucky things we have to deal with... and I haven't even had children yet!!!
The advice about maintaining a healthy diet and exercise regimen is just overall good advice...cellulite or not. So, I am going to simply curse genetics and wear sarongs for the rest of my beach days...at least my UPPER body looks good (sigh)
I will let you know if the coffee helps (trying to look good for a beach vacation next week).
Hey... you could always get rid of estrogen (Hahaha)! That seems to be the culprit (which is why men don't have it).
I have tried many things but the coffee grounds work just add some salt and olive oil and wrap it in plastic wrap keep on for about 5 minutes.
