This site has been so helpful! I appreciate all the advice on here, was diagnosed 2 weeks and finally after the most excruiating thing I have experienced my sores are finally starting to heal. Drinking tons of water really saved me to help with urinating and I was pain free but I drunk tons of water constantly! My period is coming however and I'm just wondering how do you care for the sores while menstruating? I know it's important to keep the sores dry but thts nearly impossible! All advice is appreciated, thanks soo much!!
Just diagnosed with GH yesterday. I thought it was infected hemorrhoids, but it turned out there are 'herpetic lesions ' present just around the opening of the anus and some on the inside. Stings like ccrazy. I have swollen lymph nodes in my groin, fever, nausea, night sweats, diarrhea. I'm not sure who I contracted it from (been separated for 6 months, was seeing someone else and recently starting to reconcile and have relations with my husband). When I found out yesterday i called my husband right away to tell him and he has freaked out and is calling me every nasty name you can think of, as if I don't feel shitty enough. My issue is that I am trying to keep the lesions dry while also trying to keep the hemorrhoid moist...near impossible. I'm also scared that i may have accidentally spread it by having a sitz bath to soothe my aching hemmoroidal area before i found out what the real issue was. I seem to be having more frequent and loose bowel movements and they are quite uncomfortable. I have been rinsing the area with warm water and patting dry. I have been putting peroxide on the area too...the problem is I cant really see the lesions :/ I haven't read any stories of anyone with GH around the anus like I have...maybe less common? I must say the stats on this friggin condition are mind boggling...just love how women are the ones with the nasty outbreaks all the time and men can be silent carriers!
I do like to think they is no such thing as incurable for the HSV type 2.
I was diagnosed a few months ago. I haven't had an outbreak since I was diagnosed which is also the only outbreak I have ever had.
I am at this moment trying the zeolite. Which I al going to take for a full month and then go to my doctor and ask for a blood test which is the only way they can diagnose it without an outbreak. I am hoping it will will come back negative as to be honest the only thing I know about the virus is what I have found out online.
I will keep people updated on how I get on but I doubt I will get the blood test until mid January so be February before I get any results
I was diagnosed in July. I have had two outbreaks so far. I'm experiencing one now as well. I'm taking aciclovir cream. This is the same one the doc prescribed for my initial outbreak. I just realized the box has advised to use within 6 wks of opening. Has anyone used thiers after the 6 wks period and it was still effective?
So I was diagnosed with herpes 1 on Thursday....yet have been experiencing my first out break since last monday...so I am now 7 days in...I have been taking antivirals and it seems to be getting a tad bit better but it seems to be oozing...is this a normal part of the healing process? The pain has almost been unbearable and peeing is horrible...how much longer should this last!?!?
Try Lysine over the counter. The things that cause outbreaks are certain foods, stress, caffeine, alcohol and nicotine(cigarettes). My dr told me this after I had more outbreaks than a normal person. Don't combine all these things. Even after intercourse or the before starting your menstrual cycle.. So just stay healthy bs try not to stress!
I am experiencing my first outbreak it has been hell..I've taken the eperson salt baths with apple cider vinegar and hydrogen peroxide it works it busts the blisters and I apply gold bond powder. Its really hard dealing with GH because I am only 17 years old and have 1 yr. old.. Its really hard not to be stressed and I feel like I'm on the edge of a complete breakdown..I haven't told anyone and have decided to abstain from any sexual activity..if anyone knows a way to keep the outbreaks from happening and keep the genital area dry please let me know..
I just got diagnosed with herpes type 2 and clamydia last month and I had it very badly for a whole week and I had these huge swelling warts on the outside walls of my vag that burned very badly and itches and sting when I used the bathroom. I had to use rubber gloves every time i peed because I had to open up my vagina so that the pee wouldn't get on any of the bumps but I went to the hospital they gave me a shit in my thigh which got rid of the clamydia so im cured from that unless I get it again and they prescribed me with valacyclovir, sulfamethoxazole, and metronidazole. The second one I only had to take 2 times a day for 3 days and after that the pain started going away. my soreness in my lower back disappeared and the two swollen knots on the sides of my pelvis we're going down(they get swollen whenever there's an infection down there). Aqua for actually helped south it and stop the itching and dryness you can get this at Walmart I also have really bad eczema which it also helps for that too. I tried putting jock itch down there which kinda helped but I also tried double antibiotic cream which was really shitty and triggered and itch. I had to take 2 valacyclovir pills every 12 hours for 12 days and 1 metranidazole pill every 12 hours for 7 days. after all that was over I started feeling way better and I couldn't have sex for 2 weeks. my vag was temporary back to 'normal' and then I came on my period the Thursday before Halloween. I just came off the beginning of this week and my and my boyfriend had sex on Wednesday. we used a condom of course but it caused so much dryness down there and when it rubbed the bottom of my vagina it started to hurt so we stopped and later that night it was a rip again at the bottom of my vag like it was when I had my first OB. I went home and got a mirror and looked down there and it wasn't hurting or anything when I touched it like it was when I had my first OB but I put a cold rag down there and washed up with baby shampoo. this is also good to use when bathing or showering because it doesn't burn or sting and it leaves it smelling fresh like babies and soon as I got out i patted it so that it could still be a little moist then I applied aquafor on it so that it could absorb the moisture. it is now Saturday November 8th and im going to contact my doctor sometime Sunday or Monday. I'm taking vitamins to build my immune system and I've been trying to maintain my emotions to prevent OB's because my stress and depression and anger levels have been up the top lately and I've been hella emotional. Sometimes I smoke marijuana to calm and relax my nerves which really helps and also I drink tea with honey and not too much sugar and get lots of rest. You're welcomw I hope this actually helped you guys and I still can't believe I been diagnosed with this because im only a senior in high school and everything happened so fast but just PRAY every morning and keep a smile on your face. Don't let this bring you down and destroy you cause that's what it wants us to do !!!
Hello I recently have been doing research and came across a 'cure' for both type of herpes. It's called HVS herpes eraser with Christine bueler. I was just wandering is there anyone on her, who has tried it, can confirm there experience. Please let me know thank you
Sone of the things people are trying out of desperation are alarming. Please don't use anything with chemicals down there. It's a very delicate part of the body. No Lysol, no nail polish (WTF?). Not only are these chemicals really REALLY bad for you, but you're apply them to one of the most sensitive parts of the body. BAD IDEA.
Don't risk making your outbreaks worse. Only try remedies that are all natural, or consult your doctor for medical advice.
A therapeutic grade of lemon balm essential oil (aka Melissa oil) can help outbreaks clear up faster. It's expensive, but a small 5ml bottle from 'Native American Nutritionals' will last a long time. They have one blended with fractionated coconut oil that is affordable. This is a 'hot' oil that should always be diluted and not applied 'neat' or full strength.
The best way to heal quickly is to stay clean and dry and try to avoid touching or scratching. I know it's hard! Baking soda is drying, yes, but may irritate sensitive skin. Try corn starch or arrowroot powder instead. Witch hazel without alcohol in it can be soothing, or pure aloe gel. You can keep either of those in the fridge for some extra relief using a cold compress of aloe or witch hazel.
I have not tried this, but black tea bags are rumored to work. That's a natural remedy for sunburns as well, so worth a try. Steep black tea bags in hot water and allow to cool completely before applying to the aft area.
Eat healthy and drink lots of water. Water will dilute the acid in your urine, which can irritate an outbreak. If it's painful to pee, pour lukewarm water over your genitals as you pee. Try to clean and dry the area after you use the restroom. If you aren't at home, you can carry some witch hazel wipes with you.
