Ladies and the rest of yall, I contracted this vicious virus in 2005. I have had many nasty outbreaks since then. I am natural and have never taken prescription drugs. I have discovered that raw honey on lesions work. Oh I know it's sticky, but that's better than stinging. Now the best thing I've tried that stopped the lesions on day one, my leg was hurting and weak as it is always during an OB. I used vitamin C. Its a gel pack 1000 mg. I put tire gel directly on the lesions and all around my vagina. My leg stop tingling that hour. Lesion gome less than 48 hours. Do this at the first sign of an OB. You can also take Vit C by mouth for HSV2. This can be found on the website liveonlabs.com ITS awesome. I hope this helps. Be well family
Found out I have herpes in 2010. 31yrs old. Sad. Anyways my first OB in 2014. Major. My Vagina had burning itching sensations to where you wanted to scratch it like crazy but DO NOT SCRATCH. You will make them worse.
Moving on, I take;
Ultimate Coconut Oil that is in the green box. A dietary supplement. Will find it at dietary aid section.
Vitamin D3. Good for the immune system.
I intake 5,000 IU's.
Next Vitamen C. Fights diseases. I intake 1,000mg 3x daily.
Finally, Multivitamin multimineral supplements.
Worked great! Haven't used it in awhile. Now I'm back on it cus I have a skin outbreak with itching all over. It truly annoys me. Stress can really cause you to OB.
Hi, male here with about 8 years of living with GH. Never written on one of these sites before and to be honest have been very sceptical about some 'remedies' and even the motives behind them. But here I am and I just want to share what helped me recently.
I'm not gonna make wild claims about this being a life changer for everyone and I have only tried this once, but it seemed to make a difference to me and so hopefully it will for anyone else who wishes to give it a go.
My trigger seems to be stress and it's something that I have not been able to learn to control..I guess if you are a worrier then you are a worrier !
I had some tell-tale bumps(about 5 of em) start to appear and the accompanying itch and redness. After reading lots of home remedies, I decided it was time for some self help. I started taking 1000mg of lysine 3 times a day, cut out as much sugar as possible, drank lots of water and tried to get some quality resting done. I then made up a paste by squeezing some gel out of an aloe vera plant and crushing a lysine tablet and 2 zinc tablets between 2 spoons and adding them to the gel. I applied this to the affected area 3 times a day and left for an hour each time. In between times I kept the area as dry as possible. 2 of the spots became blisters which healed in the quickest time that I've had them, and the other three spots just seemed to fade away and disappear without even blistering.
I'm not saying that this is a miracle cure, but it seemed to have great results for me and I could lay my hands on the products used easily.
I hope that if anyone else wants to try this, that they have the same results that I did.
I have only tried this once so I can't say if it was just a coincidence, but I was so pleased with the results that I had to share it.
I just need to work on those stress levels now ! ! Good luck to you all.
I have been diagnosed with GH for about 9 years now and have just had my second outbreak. I honestly almost couldn't even tell I was having one since its been so long and extremely rare for me that I forgot what to do to help with the pain. Then I remembered the two things that truly worked for me and continue to work for me and that is Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, and Vaginal Cream. Every time I go to the bathroom i PAT (do not rub pat) myself dry so the sores won't continue to be painful. After that I role two pieces of toilet paper up and place it on top of the ACV and Shake some on there and pat it lightly on the sores. I do this twice but I use new toilet paper every time because I feel like it's cleaner. After that I put the vaginal cream on the sores in a glob and I rub it in a little but not all the way. This helps me personally with the itchy aspect of this. Within two days my sores are almost completely gone! The main thing that works is the Raw Apple Cider Vinegar it honestly works wonders. It will sting a little but seriously Google the powers of ACV and you will see how beneficial it really is. Hope this helps I'm not the best as explaining things but this truly works for me
This is going to sound 'omg' to everyone but it works. I have read way too many posts of people telling you diet, supplements bla bla bla. I wanted to read something telling me how to get the damn things gone when they appear. So here is mine. My outbreaks come on pretty fast. As soon as I feel the tingle or itch, the spot is already there, so remedies for catching it early are hopeless. I take a q-tip and dip it in lysol(regular lemon lysol) hold it on the spot for about a minute. Then rub it around on the spot a few times. It may burn a little but nothing compared to the pain of the sore itself. U will notice the shedding starting immediately. Do this 3 times in one day. By the 2nd day the sore is dried out and open. That's when u do the peroxide and neosporin frequently. My outbreaks clear in 2 days. I have tried everything and this has been the best remedy for me. I know alot of people will say 'omg you put lysol on your genitals?' Well do you want to get rid of the outbreak or not! Don't be afraid to do it, it causes no reactions, especially since the only place you are applying it is on the herpes spot. I found it online so apparently somebody else did it first. Lysol kills the herpes virus so it only stands to reason that it would help. I was hesitant at first but I got so fed up with the pain that I was willing to try anything!
I was told i had Genital Herpes six months ago. of course it was the worst experience ever and i thought my life was over. So i went online to find things i can do from prevent getting outbreaks and maybe even cure this. I found someones story and how it possibly cured him. ive only had once outbreak which was the first one and i havent had another in six months. This is what i did! Vitamin D one tablet 3x a day, Vitamin C one tablet 3x a day, L-Lysine one tablet 3x a day.You can also take tea tree one tablet 3x a day, everynight after a shower i clean my lower back and make sure its nice & clean i add DSMO cream Mix with 8 drops of oregano and put it on your lower back. The DSMO cream is the one ive heard that can possibly cure it so that is the most important, im soon going to get tested again and im praying to God it comes out negative. I hope this was helpful and goodluck to everyone
I have had outbreaks for a few years now. What really helps to reduce the pain and itching is to first clean the area. I use Johnson & Johnson Hurt Free, First Aid, Antiseptic, Pain Relieving Liquid. It comes in a 6oz light blue bottle, the active ingredients are Benzalkonium CI 0.13% (first aid antiseptic) and Lidocaine HCI 2% w/w (topical analgesic). This cleanses the area, and provides pain relief, and the bottle lasts quite a while, I just put a little on a paper towel because toilet paper falls apart when it gets wet, and clean the entire vaginal area. Then I use Avon's Skin So Soft Itch Relief Spray, it's active ingredients are Menthol 0.5% (external analgesic). I spray a little on a paper towel and swab the infected areas. It will sting a little, but it feels so much better after and also provides a cooling sensation. If I don't have any of the Skin So Soft, I will use Cortaid Intensive Therapy Cooling Spray, it's active ingredient is Hydrocortisone 1% (anti-itch). It comes in a 2oz bottle that lasts quite a while also. It's easier to find than Avon. It will also sting a little, but the relief is almost instant. I have also found that using baby wipes to clean up after urinating will also help keep me from scratching, and then I dry myself normally with toilet paper. I hope this helps you guys. Some of these remedies being recommended are scary. I suggest not trying everything at once, I would give each remedy a couple of days before trying something new. Introducing a bunch of new chemicals and treatments at one time will make it harder to figure out what exactly helps you, and could possibly make things worse. Good luck to everyone, I hope you guys find out what works the best for you.
Ive had hsv for about 3 years now my first outbreak was the absolute worse one. But every so often i get one the best things i found to help were taking warm baths in epsom salt and makingsute to splash thr water into my vagina, also after i dry off i apply corn starch all over this helps keep me dry and everytime i use the restroom at home i run a wash cloth under cool water and place it on my vagina a few time this helps sootge the itching and burning and cleans the area abd re apply the cornstarch again. Also i have found by reducing my stress levels working out and eating right helps alot as well
I have Herpes 1 and I'm going through my first genital, anal, AND oral OB right now (my bf had a cold sore, I kissed him and he went down on me for like 5 seconds, I guess that's all it takes). Luckily my oral ob is starting to clear up bc of Abreeva. As for my OB down there I've also been using abreeva as well as tea tree oil AND this special ointment called Surivon. You can google it and it will come right up. It's a little pricey but I was so desperate to make this go away as quick as possible. This product claims to heal the OB fast AND prevent future ones. Anyways, using all of these products has managed to make my OB way less painful and I think it's starting to go away too. It started off in the inside of my vagina and hurt so freaking badly which is why I needed to find something that would work quick. Now the inside of my vagina is basically cleared (no more terrible burning and severe dread of going to the bathroom). Now I'm just working on trying to heal my anal OB. Only problem now is that I can't tell which product helped me the most. I think it was mostly the abreeva. The Tea Tree and the Surivon deff helped with the pain though. I think the Abreeva was the most responsible for the quick healing. Just remember that Abreeva prob won't work if you have Herpes 2.
I've done SO much research on herpes during the past week and went through a LOT of tears. Basically I was crying all the time which Is not me at all. My advise is to just focus on the healing bc it WILL get better eventually even though it seems like you've been suffering through your first OB for what seems like forever and you can't remember the last time you were able to run and sit without feeling discomfort, IT WILL END. Also for all of you suffering from Herpes 1 down there, this will probably be one of your last OBs down there because Herpes 1 likes the mouth better. So just stay positive. That's the main reason why I kind of don't want to go on Meds bc I'd rather let my body heal on it's own and I possibly won't get another genital OB again.
Anyone with Herpes 1 genitally that can vouch for this? Please Respond. I'm having a lot of trouble finding info online and my doctor is no help with shedding any light on the matter. Thanks!!
I got my herpes at a very young age when my mother kissed near my eye when she had an outbreak on her lip. Not only no i have it in my eye but the herpes decided to go to my genitals after sometime. i am having my second large outbreak down south. the oozing blisters are very big and on the inside of my inner labia right near my vaginal opening. the area is always very moist and it's very veeery hard to keep the blisters dry. what i do for that is every hour or so i'll go to the bathroom open myself up and blow dry them using the low setting. for going to the bathroom you should do it in the shower or fill a tub with water. it will still sting but at lest you can wash it out quickly. what has also been helping with the pain is 600-800mg of Ibuprofen and sitz baths with 2 packets of Domedoro in them. Ice also helps the pain too. My problem is that the blisters touch and tho i am blow drying them they are still getting all moist and then start oozing again.they are getting bigger there used to be 4(2 on get labia) but now its just 2 very big ones. is there a better why to keep them dry? to get them to heal faster and not get bigger?
