TABACCO RELIEF------Put a piece of tabacco on and around the sore tooth then gently close your teeth together to hold the tabacco. Hold for 3 to 5 mins then rinse with water... worked for me, had instant relief. Hope it works for you
Like others, I have several old fillings that need to be replaced. It's the week-end and no dentist available so I decided to TRY my own remedy. (a) I rinsed the area with peroxide (b) I applied ambesol to some dental floss and flossed.(C) applied ambesol over the top and sides of the tooth.(D) I took 800mg of motrin. With in just a few minutes I have relief and am pretty much pain free. Not sure how long it will last but have supplies ready should the pain start to come back.
If you don't mind taking ibuprofen, take 800mg (4 standard tablets) every 8 hours. It reduces inflammation and will ultimately help with pain.
Oil pulling. Swish about a tablespoon of vegetable oil (untoasted sesame is ideal)in your mouth for as long as you can - at least ten minutes. Suck it through your teeth back and forth and spit it out when you're done - it should be white and foamy when you spit it out. This is good to do without dental pain as it apparently pulls bacteria out of gums as well as out of teeth with broken fillings etc. Rinse your mouth with very warm water and spit that out as well.
Now swish very strong sodium bicarb solution in warm water (about 2T/cup), one mouthful at a time until the solution is gone. With that solution also, keep it in your mouth swishing for as long as you can.
This should give you enough relief to sleep and wait for a dental appointment.
so, i tried the red cross stuff, and it works for a little bit but it really doesnt last too long. still, its better than nothing. so what i tried after using that is some liquid tylenol that is actually for my 2 year old. i just dropped it right on the broken tooth and it instantly started feeling better. we'll see how long it lasts, but its good to use for relief right away.
I sware this works (i know everybody says that)rince you mouth out with poroxide (don't swallow) or take a motrin smash it up and mix with water make a paste and pack tooth with it
HAVE 2 NUROFEN EXPRESS TABLETS AND SIT IN THE SHOWER (STEAMING HOT SHOWER) AND HAVE THE WATER SPRAY AGAINST YOUR CHEEK.... SO FOR EXAMPLE IF YOUR PAIN IS ON THE RIGHT THEN AIM THE SHOWER HEAD ON YOUR RIGHT CHEEK.... HOPE IT HELPS
try drinking some warm or cold (depending on how your pain reacts) coke, pepsi works to but coke works better. take a small swig and swish it around the painful area the pain will disappear for a few minutes. it doesn't last long but you can use it while you are waiting for the pills or other concoctions to kick in good luck
Today I am without toothache pain. I went to the Walgreens to get some Red Cross that others have talked about but they were sold out. So I ended up getting Ambesol xtra strength, Sensodyne toothpaste and some Dent's Toothache gum. I used the Ambesol in the parking lot, it worked for about 3 minutes, waste of money. Got home took 2 200mg ibuprofen, then brushed my teeth with Sensodyne and put on some of the Toothache Gum on my affected tooth and hoped for the best before I went to bed. After about 20 minutes or so after the ibuprofen and my nerves were settled down I slept all night long without pain. Woke up without pain. Hopefully this will last long enough for me to get an appointment to see a dentist.
I took an asprin and got it wet in my mouth and placed it with my finger over the tooth. I held it there til it became soft and crushed the soft paste into the tooth. The pain relief was imediate and lasted about 24 hours.
Asprin seems to blister inside of mouth after a couple of days but well worth the pain relief till I got to the dentist.
I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING OF TOOHACHE FOR LIKE TWO MONTHS, SO I USED THIS THIS 3 THINGS TOGETHER, IT WORKS FINE FOR ME, GET A HEAD OF GARLIC CHOP IT UP INTO PIECES GET LIKE 20 GROUND CLOVES AND A CUP OF WHITE VINEGAR, BOIL EVERYTHING IN A PAN FOR 2 MINUTES, RINSE YOUR MOUTH FOR 1 MINUTE 3 TIMES A DAY AND THE PAIN WILL GO AWAY.
