My lower rear molar that was supposed to be pulled years ago, that the dentist pulled the wrong tooth out on a put a bridge on the bad tooth.. just kicked in 2 days ago.. extreme pain. Nothing worked for me except the following.. Pure lemon extract, motrin-800 mg, and warm tea bag.. any... I have no pain... and when i do I just dab on a little extract..instant relief. Eventually i will have the money to get to a dentist i hope. Also amoxcillin.. i am going to try the fish mox tomorrow. This site is awesome!

I came across this site as my husband has been in agony with a cracked tooth for a couple of days, of course the Doc is out this week, and well, we knwo the cost of emergency room visits etc. Anyway, when I had a toothache that was so bad I thought I was going to cut off my head, I put orajel onto a piece of gauze and packed it over the broken tooth. What a relief until the dentist pulled it out. Nothing had worked. But somehow the covering of the exposed gum, tooth, root, whatever was perfect. I am going to have my hubby try some of these rememdies. I hope something helps him, the painkillers are not working and like someone said, he's popping them like tic-tacs. Good luck everyone!

I am pregnant and have wisdom teeth that I NEED to get pulled so the only thing I can take is tylonal. The tylonal dosn't help very much. A friend of mine told me to eat tums and swish with salt water. a dentist said half water, half peroxide. this helps, but the 1 thing that helps and is kinda weird is a green tea bag! brew a cup of tea and let the tea bag cool alittle... put the tea bag on the hurt tooth, kinda warm! it feels so good!

There is stuff on amazon called Hurricaine Topical Gel.. invest in it...there is nothing better than it out there it will destroy anything on the market including orajel , it wont help if your face is swelling ( in other words its just for pain )''' Trust me it works better than anything out there ...I have and use cherry flavor, I hope this helps you all.

Its gel dip your finger in it and apply to the area that hurts or the damaged tooth , gum, ect... instant relief ...

If you have used it and it helped please report your sucess here in the comment section so others will know as well...

With the tooth being completly broken off to the gum line (molar or wisdom, i'm not even sure) I have tried everything. My wife gave me Percosegic. Took that with water. Tehn she gave me a thick paste of ground cloves (which can be found on the spice isle at the grocery store) to rub on the gum or where ever I felt comfortable. Initially the cloves burned like HECK but after the 3 sec. burn it numbed better than extra strength ambesol. She then gave me an icepack. I am on my way to the ER now for any pain that will follow... need to find a Dentist that will take payments...maybe one day we will get better health insurance prices so everyone can afford Doctors and Dentist as well...

As being completely cursed with wretched teeth..comes the pain that also. Along with this pain a found out a way to relieve this pain the way it works for me and I want to share it with you. I've tried so many different things and sure it was TEMPORARY relief but what works for me is:
TAKE AN ASPIRIN CRUSH IT UP PUT YOUR FINGER IN THE ASPIRIN AND APPLY TO THE AREA IN WHICH IS IN THROBBING PAIN :]

I don't know if this will help for you but it does wonders for me.

WARNING: WILL LEAVE HORRIBLE TASTE IN MOUTH. I SUGGEST MOUTHWASH AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES OF LETTING IT JUST SET THERE AND THAT SHOULD DO THE TRICK!

I hope I helped! :)

I took 2 pamprins with water and then took and icy hot cold and stuck it in a towel and put it on the outside of my cheek where it hurt and it took the pain away within minutes!

So I went through every page on here, because I have no dental coverage and have been clenching my jaw to the point that the entire right side of my face is swollen. I took a few midol because it was the only pain pill in the house and it worked better tha any of the ones I've tried in the past two days. Then I did the ice on my left hand and the pain went away instantly. I have hardly been able to eat in three days and after that I was able to talk and eat again, plus the midol helps with the swelling. Good luck to everyone else!
