Try not to exert yourself directly after meals, physically or mentally, as the body needs to devote much of its energy to digestion to properly metabolize food and nutrients.
Try not to eat within four hours of bedtime.
Brush the teeth after meals to combat the tendency to snack.
Eat fresh whole foods as opposed to canned, frozen, or processed foods. Get plenty of variety in the diet, but try to keep individual meals simple.
Eat a couple of ripe tomatoes first thing in the morning.
After each meal, wait until it is completely digested before eating again. This usually takes three to six hours.
