****** ANY READER... IF YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE IS EXPERIENCING THE 'HELL-ITCH' APP 48HRS AFTER BEING SUNBURNT, DO THE FOLLOWING - WHICH SEEMS COUNTER-INTUITIVE BUT WORKS!!!: *****

------ TAKE A WARM/HOT SHOWER OR BATH (bath is better) AND THE ITCHING WILL STOP - STOP - STOP..!!!!!!!!!!!!!-------

Do not be concerned about harming yourself, your/your loved one's sunburn will have healed enough by now to allow for WARM - EVEN HOT water to be applied. Thjis method REALLY DOES WORK as it appears to open the pores of the skin (rather than cold water closing them) and release/ease whatever the TERRIBLE thing is under the skin which causes the itching.

I tried all of these remedies! Vinager, musturd, milk, etc. I took a luke warm bath for about 10-15 min. and kept appling aloe. I didnt care about the peeling just wanted the burning/stinging to stop. After about an hour of constently appling the aloe it was gone!

My friends and I were at the beach and one got burnt really bad that we had to take her to the emergency room. The doctor told us to go home brew some tea and maake a bath out of it when it cooled. It worked so well I now use that same remedy on my children on a wash cloth and bath.

After you are sunburned ASAP take a saturated washrag of 70% isoproal alchol and put over sunburn skin. Sounds like suicide but the alchol penetrates into the pores and as it evaporates pulls out the hangover heat in your skin. repeat until skin heat is gone. Next day no water blister, soreness or tenderness or peeling. Sunburn is like leaving the turkey in the over when it is cooked and the hangover heat in the oven continues to cook until you are burned. This cools the heat from down in the pores and you stop continuing to cook like the turkey left in the over. Works guaranteed no pain or suffering

I am a natural red head, and I get burnt from just driving without sunscreen on my arm..It's ridiculous so you can imagine how many different remedies I have tried, and Aloe only irritates my skin and makes me blister..so I tried using baking powder that was in the freezer and put some cold water in it and made a paste, then rubbed it all over my sunburn. It works! I can be as red as a tomato and within two days after putting it on three times a day then rinsing it off with cool water it's gone. It's AMAZING! Honestly I have never felt more relief than I have from this. Take it from a redhead who lives in Florida.

My 12 yr old LIED and told me he already put on sun block, he didn't because he didn't want to miss out on the 2 min. it would've taken at the beach. Today were doing 'recon' and the best thing so far has been diaper rash ointment.

so a few years ago, i was sitting in the sun, wearing PLEANTY of sunblock...only problem i forgot to put it on my chest... later that day, my arms and face hurt and were red, however my chest did not hurt but was BRIGHT red, i did not do anything about it but put aloe on. a week went by and every day it got worse, i would get out of the shower and sheets of skin would peel off (i know gross) NOTHING helped the pain- i tried everything, and most things just made it feel worse, it got to the point where it started to scab over, and was excruciating to even touch, spray, or mist to put anything on it, so i went to the ER and they told me that it had to dry out so they could see if it was getting infected!!!! omg i was like no way your crazy it hurts so much as it is with the aloe/vinegar/mustard...ect on it i cant imagine how it would feel without it, so they gave me pain meds. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT NEXT TIME I GO OUT IN THE SUN THAT IMMEDATLEY FOLLOWING EXPOSURE- BEFORE THE PAIN OR BLISTERING- TO PUT NEOSPORIN ON THE SKIN AND THAT THIS SHOULD HELP TO STOP THE BURNING.
ITS WORKED SO FAR NO MORE BLISTERING, SKIN SHEETING, SCABING, EXCRUCATING BURNS FOR ME :)
