Get two lemons And Slice them in four and just suck on them , the juice is acidic and will help sooth it
For a sore throat, my mom makes me a cup of regular tea, then she adds lemon juice and some honey. It helps alot, and it makes my throat stop hurting, it might take a day or 2.
One thing that I've used to relieve a sore throat is taking probiotics. I take the capsule and split it to take the powder portion out into a small cup. I add about 4 ounces of water and started gargling. You don't taste any of the probiotics at all and in a matter of hours it relieved it completely.
To get rid of a sore throat, take a shot glass, fill it up half way with lemon/lime juice, then add a little bit of honey. Stir it until liquid. Then throw it back and let it slide down your throat. It always helps me.

when i have a horrible soar throat my grandma would heat milk and add a tea spoon of butter and honey and sprinkle a pinch of sugar. Hope it works for yall it works wonders for me :)
Take a glass of vinegar (regular, store bought) and gargle it all (in small increments) getting it as far back into the throat as possible without swallowing. If throat pain returns, repeat.
To relieve the pain of a sore throat, slice garlic into very thin slices, and suck on them, then let them very slowly slide down your throat and swallow them. It will burn your throat, so do it until you can't take the burn. It will definitely take away the pain. (I use use this in combination with ginger tea. Slice ginger root and simmer it. Then pour the tea liquid into a nice cup and sip it.)

Just tried this today. It really works. Pour a few ounces (about half a cup) of PURE pomegranate juice (no juice cocktails. They are only about 10% pomegranate. Northland brand is the cheapest I have found at 3.94 USD at Wal-Mart, located in the organic section.) Mix in about 1/8 teaspoon each of ground cloves, cinnamon, and ginger. Heat in microwave until boiling (note: boils over very easily so don't leave while microwaving.) Strain through coffee filter into clean small glass. Add sugar or honey to taste.
Pomagranate Juice: Great source of Vitamins A, C, and E, folic acid, potassium, and antioxidants.
Cinnamon: Possesses antimicrobial properties as well as being another source of antioxidants. Also helps stave off the common cold.
Ginger: Known historically to treat inflammation. Also good if you are suffering from an upset stomach due to flu or cold as well.
Cloves: Well known for pain killing properties. Helps to 'numb' the throat for a little while. Also has antiseptic properties which would be good in the case of bacterial infections.
