My plaque started on my shins. A few years ago out of the blue, thought nothing of it until they started to grow, and new ones developed on my arm. After all my research, I have come to a few conclusions:
1. Not every remedy works for every person
2. The problem is internal, what is on the skin is evidence of the issue inside your body.
3. Do not give up; it takes time for some remedies to work.
Now for my remedy. (why)
1. Have limited my exposure to nightshades: Tomatoes, Potatoes, Peppers, and Eggplants. It is almost impossible to eliminate completely but do your best. (These veggies naturally contain higher toxin levels)
2. In the morning I have one Vitamin D pill, 1 Fish oil pill, and a Vege-greens drink. (Vit D is what we get from the sun, and most of us so not have enough, Fish oil assists with absorption of vitamins, and vege-greens contains anti-oxidants),
3. I then apply regular apple cider vinegar on the plaques with a cotton ball, once a day (at least). (Vinegar is a toner and natural antiseptic, kills germs)
4. After cleaning with vinegar, let the area dry and Cut a Vitamin E pill open and rub the oil on the plaques. (Vitamin E is good for the skin, try aloe vera as well)
5. 1 Hour before supper, take 2 teaspoons of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in a tall glass and fill with water. Drink this, it is terrible at first but you will get used to it.(this I believe is the most important, the organic apple cider vinegar, assists your body to slow digestion, and prevent something called leaky gut, which I personally believe is a significant factor in psoriasis)
6. East healthier, leafy greens, minimize red meat, lots of fruits, and water. (Boosts your immunity)
Result:
Off the start I noticed the plaques were still growing but they were thinner. The healing is a slow process, when you come up with your treatment plan stick with it for at least two months. I noticed only small change for the first 6 weeks, in the last week my plaque is now 50% completely healed, and the remaining is headed in the right direction.

My wife’s eye doctor recommended Barleans cold press filtered flax seed oil for dry eye because she is allergic to fish oil which was his first suggestion. She takes one ounce twice a day for dry eye. She was plagued with flaking to red oozing skin on her hand which was psoriasis. The flax seed oil made the psoriasis disappear. This is expensive and unpleasant to swallow. Always check with your doctor.

hi am sort of new to the world of psoriasis-the cortisone just seems to kill the top layer of skin-and the itch sends me crazy. All the doctor say is take antihistamine for the itch-when I have a flair up this doesn't seem to work. I have stumbled across a product that relieves the itch almost instantly-I picked up a tub of (sudocream) the label says 'Healing Cream for Nappy Rash, Dermatitis, Abrasions, Pressure Sores, Eczema' it contains 15% zinc oxide-so it is a bit messy on my hands but so for the only product that instantly stops the itch. I found this in the skin care section of the supermarket. I am currently going on a vitamin diet and notice on here 3 separate posts that have a reference to Zinc/vitamin d so maybe there is a link with the zinc.

I have pustular 'P' on my hands and feet. Being in a wheelchair and having my hands hurt to high heaven is no fun at all. I have tried so many remedies, but some suggestions on this site have been helpful (and I thank all of you). Along with sea salt, zinc and vitamin D3, I also take Fumaric Acid (all natural). It is not an overnight cure in any way, but after about 3 weeks, the pustules go away and my raw skin starts healing. With my other meds, I can't take most of the Rx treatments and won't take steroids because of what they do to the liver. I have gone years without a breakout, then it comes back with a vengeance. I wish I knew the trigger(s).

Again, thank all of you for speaking up and helping your fellow sufferers.

I was told that being in the sun would help s I starting think maybe it had something to do with vitamin. Then when I went to a new doctor after we moved instead of a steroid they prescribed my a cream with vitamin d in it. It kept it from from getting worst but didnt really fix it and I had to put it on alot. which with alot of kids I dont have time or remember to do. So I began taking vitamin supplement but also decided to try applying vitamin D oil directly to the area. I can get this over the counter so dont need a script. And it seems to be clearing up nicely. Hasnt looked this good in years. Not completely gone yet cause I just started this a week ago. I did a test first on one spot to have something to compare it too. And that spot is healing and the other were getting worst. So I am pretty sure it is helping but i am not a doctor. I also noticed that washing with head and shoulders helps but it comes back

I have had psoriasis for over 32 years. Tried all the remedies and finally stumbled on a cure. Throw away every type of soap you have in your house. I am absolutely convinced that something in soap (lye? sulfates?)irritates the skin, the immune system tries to make new skin, infection (bacterial? fungal?) sets in. Creams might smother it, salt may kill it, sun may cook it, but I firmly believe the cycle starts the minute you re-apply soap. There was another post that talked about a mixture of baking soda, salt and lotion. This is basically the cure. However, I only used a paste of baking soda and water. Left it on the plaque until dry (about half an hour) and then showered-WATER only.

I discovered this accidentally when I realized how much hair I was losing. Gave up using shampoo and started using baking soda and a white vinegar rinse. After about 4 months my hair is gorgeous and thick. I noticed that the plaques on the back of my neck were less inflamed. One week ago I tried baking powder directly on plaques and I am now 80 to 90% clear. Hope it works for you.
By the way you can wash your clothes in half baking soda and half borax if you find you are super sensitive to soap. Use white vinegar as a rinse. Throw away dryer sheets, fabric softener. Works in dishwasher, also

After 12 years Coresatin cream treated my psoriasis. For best effect you have to use Coresatin cream 4-5 times in a day. Additionally this cream is steroid free. I think this is the best solution.

There is hope!! My 16 y.o. son had a horrible case of 'p'. We've tried prescription steroids, visits to dermatologist, etc. No improvement. After reading everyone's 'remedies' on this website, we combined about 6 of them and rotate......... Not really sure if it's the combination of all or just one of them, but we are finally seeing improvement!! He just started wearing short sleeve shirts again in public! :) He takes zinc and vitamin D every night (just read where a lot of people take it twice a day, so we'll add that to the routine!). We also rotate the following: dab lesions with apple cider vinegar; mixture of olive oil, two drops of calendula oil and one drop oregano oil- apply to lesions; two parts castor oil to one part wheat germ oil -apply to lesions;1 cup milk w/ oil added to bath & soak; soak in epsom salt bath. He also uses aloe vera gel (the kind for sunburn relief) after his shower.

MY TRUE PSORIASIS TREATMENT HAS RENDERED ME CURED....BEE CLEAR LOTION AND DERMASIL LOTION. BEE CLEAR ISNT CHEAP BUT DERMASIL IS A BUCK FOR A 10 OZ TUBE AT DOLLAR TREE. TRY IT...MY LEGS WERE SCALY AS ALL HELL. AFTER 6 MONTHS OF USING THE ABOVE COMBO IM FREE AND CLEAR WITH NO OUTBREAKS AT ALL. IM NOT SURE WHAT PRODUCT REALLY HELPED, BUT I CAN SAY WITH SINCERITY THAT WHAT I THOUGHT WOULD NEVER LEAVE ME DID. EVEN THE DISCOLORATION HAS LEFT MY SKIN. YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW I HAD SUCH A BAD CASE OF IT. I BELIEVE THAT THE DERMASIL HAS VANILLA PLANTIFORA AND PAST RESEARCH REVEALED TO ME THAT VANILLUM IS AN AYURVEDIC CURE FOR PSORIASIS, BUT ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN THIS COUNTRY. APPARENTLY THE VANILLA DOES HAVE A SIGNIFICANT HEALING PROPERTY. THE BEE CLEAR HAS COCONUT OIL, OLIVE OIL, RAW HONEY, BEESWAX, PALM OIL AND IT USED TO HAVE PATCHOULI. IT ACTUALLY STILL MAY HAVE IT. I BELIEVE THE JIM LONGNECKER , THE PRODUCER OF THAT PRODUCT FELT THAT THE PATCHOULI WAS TOO PUNGENT. IT KNOW SMELL MORE OF CITRUS. THE DERMASIL YOU CAN LOOK UP ONLINE, BUT A FEW KEY INGREDIENTS ARE SUNFLOWER OIL,GERANIUM OIL, OFFICINALIS OIL, SWEET ALMOND OIL, SANDALWOOD OIL, ROSA DAMASCENA EXTRACT AND OF COURSE VANILLA PLANTIFOLIA FRUIT EXTRACT. PLEASE TRY IT. AT A BUCK A TUBE HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG, I USE IT AS A DAILY MOISTURIZER AND ITS INCREDIBLE. YOU WOULD EXPECT A PRODUCT LIKE THIS TO BE PRICED LIKE AVEENO....AVEENO IS WORTHLESS TO PSORIASIS. BE WELL AND GOD BLESS.
