Then atlast tried doing a different remedy with diet on meat, egg, oily items, cooldrinks etc.with an oinment of 'BETASALIC-6'(OINTMENT)apply daily before going to sleep & 'Maxepa'(Capsule)intake daily before going to sleep and i take fresh neem leaves every 3 days in a week, then i sit outside in sunlight with the part exposed to sunrays for 15-30 minutes daily.atleast 3-6 months continuously.
This process cured me completely and am happier than ever before.

Hi there,

I am 52 years old and developed psoriasis in (extending internally) in about an inch and all around the anus, buttocks and inner thigh regions. As you know the inflamation, particularly when driving and walking has been very difficult to cope with. I went to a Dermatologist and he prescribed Dovobet gel. I followed his directions to a the letter, but it made absolutely no difference. I began to despair because as I know that it can't be cured, but to think that I could not ease it or bring it under control was really having a negative psychological effect on me.

I began to do a little research on the disease and I have found a combination of a number of things which have made a 'night and day' difference to me.

The following is what I am doing:

1) Drink between 6 and 8 pints of water per day.

2) Apply twice daily Aveeno Dermexa Moisturising Cream (this is the stronger of the two Aveeno creams)If possible, when applying going to bed try and not wear and night attire below the waste.

3) Shower each morning, low temperature, applying Aveeno within 3 minutes after dabbing yourself dry with a soft towel. Do not rub.

4) Bathe twice weekly in a luke warm bath with 6 tea spoons of Psoriderm Emulsion Bath Additive added. Soak for 5 minutes and dab towel dry only.

5) Apply the Aveeno cream within 3 minutes after drying to allow maximum effect.

6) Cut down on over consumption of coffee and tea.

7) Cut down on dairy products. I use goats milk in the tea/coffee.

8) Cut down on red meat eg steak and ham.

9) Cut down/out sugar in your tea/coffee, biscuits, sweets, basically anything sweet. Do not use sugar substitutes (seeteners) as they contain ingredients which can trigger psoriasis.

10) Alcohol is also a contributor to triggering psoriasis as it contains a lot of sugar. So you need to reduce your consumption also.

11) Try and avoid stressful people/situations

After 2 weeks I have all but cleared my psoriasis.

The very best of luck.

Kind regards,

John

I have tried presciptions that I couldn't afford and didnt do anything. I tried psoriasis lotions. Cod liver oil that I heard a board like this helped a little but didnt make it go away.
I one day found some bag balm I had in my house. I have been using it 1-2 times a day for almost 2 weeks and my psoriasis is about 90-95% improved. Bag Balm is fairly reasonably priced and comes in a nice sized contanier. this is something that works for me.

Happy Mommy!

Hey everyone. This sight is amazing! My son has had psoriasis since he was an infant. He is now 7. It started out as little red patches and I wasn't sure what they were. His ped told me it was impossible to be an allergy because children don't develop them until they are a year old. So we went to another doctor and another, tried treatment after treatment...this has been a constant in his life up unil about a year ago. It covered most of his body, and he would scratch and itch without even realizing he was doing it. I felt awful for him because nothing we had tried worked. One night we even took him to the ER because he got up in the middle of the night crying and his whole body was cracked and bleeding because he had scratched so bad in his sleep. About a year ago we went to yet another doctor, an Alergist actually. It turns out that he doesn't have an allergy but he treated him anyway after hearing our story. My son takes a 'bleach bath' 3 times a week (1/2 a cup of bleach to a full tub of water, soak for 10 to 15 minutes) and we rub vasaline ointment after. We ususally do this before bed so it has time to soak in. (I know this may seem strange, but think of is as swimming in a chlorinated pool. That seems to help a lot of P sufferers.) He also takes viatmin D suplements every morning (I noticed some other people on the site take these as well). He is completly cleared up! You'd never know he suffered with it for so long. The best thing for me was when he told me, 'Mommy, I look like a real boy! Like the other kids in my class' I almost cried! I hope this helps!!

I wish I had a remedy but I don't. I have severe psoriasis currently on my knees and my ankle. I use to also have psoriasis on my elbows and fingers, however, for some reason those spots cleared up and it has not returned. I will tell you that I believe I got psoriasis in the spots that I had severe injuries as a child. When I was young I fell on our hot tar roof, both knees were inbedded with pieces of tar. I was not taken to the doctor so I don't believe my knees ever healed correctly. I also suffered an ankle injury. If you suffer a severe injury please make sure you have the wound cleaned well and healing properly. I truly believe those injuries caused the psoriasis to appear years later. If you see that your nails are pitted yet you do not have psoriasis
make sure you pay attention to any injuries to prevent the onset of psoriasis. Stress also plays a major part in psoriasis.

Something that has cleaned my scalp p was applying glycerin(usp). I rub it into my scalp at night and wash it out with a good shampoo in the morning (use one without sls). At first I used it twice a day to get my scalp under control, but once everything was cleaned up I cut it back to one application. Give it a try if you have any kind of p, its cheap and easy to use. Its definitely nice to have a dandruff, flake, skin free head again. Also if you haven't all ready, check out inspire.com they've got some good information over there.

I am jeff age 12 and have had psoriasis since I can remember the best thing to do for my scalp is I use rubbing alchol in a eye dropper and put that in and let It set for a bit( it may burn but you get used to it) like say about 5 min then you take a fine tooth conb (ace hard rubber are the best)and take it out by hand and if you do this every other day it will go away! You have too keep on it though and even after is clear you have to keep appling rubbing alchol (even if it burns)! This works for years if you don't keep appling the alchol but if you do there should be no problem.!

Good luck!!

OLIVE OIL is the simplest and most soothing of all topical ointments I have ever had!
I put it on my head, my arm and also all over my hands when they are painful (you can put cotton gloves on them over night if need be. It soothes and takes any scales away.
