I've dealt with heavy periods all my life and being over weight didn't help any was always very emotional through out but as I got older I noticed the more ibeprofen, less sugar which we all DRAMATICALLY THINK CANDY ,CHOCOLATE WILL MAKE US FEEL BETTER BUT IN FACT IT INCREASES BLEEDING! STAY AWAY COMPLETELY OF SUGAR AND SUGAR FOODS! SERIOUSLY! IT ONLY INCREASES BLEEDING! TAKE IBEPROFEN AS NEEDED AND LESS STRESS EXCESSIVE EXERCISE I'M NOT SAYING BEING A LAZY PERSON BUT UNTIL THE BLEEDING SLOWS FEET UP& RELAX THE MORE STRESS CHOCOLATE AND EXCESSIVE THE BETTER WHICH IN My CASE Is NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE DO IN THAT CASE SUCK UP THE IBEPROFEN AND Less OF CHOCOLATE AND THIS SHOULD HELP IMPROVE! GOOD LUCK LADIES BUT I'VE FOUND THAT THE PAINKILLER VICODEN NEARLY STOPPED My bleeding IMMEDIATELY PROBLEM IS THEY DON'T GIVE OUT VICODEN FOR MENSTRUAL PERIODS BUT THEY SHOULD THEY'D HAVE A LOT LESS CRAZY WOMEN LOL!
Period date 2June but till not regular
Try taking chlorophyll pills. I start my period two days ago and two pills and it stop it. It work wonders.
For bad menstrual cramps, 2 Excedrin w/ a cup of strong coffee. Works like a charm w/n 10 min.
Obviously heat helps alleviate cramps. One simple way to facilitate this is to use your lap top lying down. Put the lap top on your lower belly, and enjoy (for once) the fact that your computer's internal fans are inefficient or non-existent (holler to all the Apple users out there!).
Secondly, I've found that using a menstrual cup (i.e. Diva Cup, LadyCup, etc) really helps with cramps. I think it's because then your uterus has something to contract against. Also, they are without a doubt the most comfortable form of menstrual protection.

Take an NSAID pain reliever. If one won't work, take more... the label will tell you how many is safe. Just stay away from aspirin and acetaminophen.
Eating a low fat vegan high fiber and high in freshh fruits and veggies diet, eating candied ginger, lots of really strong mint and fennel tea, faxseed supplements ,magnesium supplements, working out at least 3 days a week for 20min. ( walking, running, jogging, yoga or something else that you find fun)
I wasnt menstruating for two years then I started using folic acid tablets just once a day. Now my periods are regular -3 months so far. Try it, I hope it works for everyone.
A few days before your period is set to come, drink LOTS of water (u may feel bloated but at least when the cramps come on they will be less intense!) and when your period has arrived sit in a warm (hot if You can handle the heat!) bathtub full of water and just relax every morning/night it always works for me
