i was born in the philippines and now live in hawaii. there is a tree called 'katuday' in ilocano language. this tree grows big and tall and produces white flowers. boil in water the flowers but before that take out the little stem in the middle, this may cause headache. eat 4-6 boiled flowers and systolic blood pressure can go down from 10-20 in 5min. to 30 min. Filipinos consider this as a vegetable. Eat it like a steamed vegetable. I eat it plain. Not too many filipinos know this. I think only some Ilocanos from Ilocos Norte in the Philippines know about it. this tree also grows in hawaii and they could sell it at farmers market or local grocery stores--look for it in filipino vegetables area..


Eat celery raw or cooked or drink the juice (can be mixed with fruits to make fruit juice)daily.

Water, water, and more water!!!
Drink 3 to 4 8oz cups of water 1 behind the other. Once you urinate, check you blood pressure. You should urinate several times. After that cycle, check again, hopefully it has gone down.

8 years ago I was borderline high blood pressure at 140/100. The doctor was about to prescribe high blood pressure medicine when I heard someone on the radio recommending eating celery every day. I hate eating celery so I tried juicing one bunch of celery and an apple every other day and for the past 8 years my blood pressure has been averaging 124/82. It also helps you sleep if you juice celery in the evening.


When my blood pressure is high I start to feel dizzy,ansy,shaky and nervous..i usually know when its high before I even check it.My doctor suggested that when my high for me to drink a Coke or Pepsi and try eating a piece of chocolate(like a Hersheys bar).I found that even though that is an odd combo to lower your pressure,it actually works.
