A warm cup of Sleepy Time Extra will definitely help mellow you down. It has valerian, spearmint, catnip, west indian lemongrass, hawthorn and orange blossoms in it. Valerian has been used for almost anything back in the day. I would drink this a half an hr before you go to sleep and make sure your away from distractions otherwise it will backfire and you'll just feel groggy.
My Mom's Dr. told her to have a 1/2 peanut butter sandwich for her insomnia. When I have insomnia I combine the sandwich with the Sleepy Time tea and play 3 game of solitaire while ingesting these. Has never failed for me.
