For mild congestion, lay two fingers flat across the cheek just below the eye, then press and roll them toward the nose while blowing. (It's like squeezing a tube of toothpaste. Search web for image of 'Maxiliary Sinus' for better understanding).

Use a 'Neti Pot' for bigger jobs. See 'Nasal Irrigation' at Wikipedia.

I tried it and it works a little. Of course not fully to where the nostril is completely unstuffed, but it helped a little.
Thanks

Your sinus is an open space in your bone, by pushin on your cheek your pushing on your bone you can't move your bone or the things in the space underneath it by pushing on it

I used the NetiPot first and then used this method. It really worked great and my nose dripped out all the excess mucus that was left there. :)

Helped clear one side of my nose, thanks

I found this worked best if I placed my fingers a bit lower on the cheek (just below the cheek bone). This area was puffy and my sinuses really cleared up when I pressed down with my fingers and rolled them toward my nose. I also pushed up a little on the cheek bone.
