I can't believe no one has mentioned my all time favorite diaper rash cure...BREAST MILK!!! It's free, has natural antibodies, and works like a charm.

My first child (I have 4 now) had a horrific diaper rash that would not go away. I tried letting her go diaperless, about 10 over the counter medicines, Maalox, browned flour, cornstarch, and even a couple of prescriptions and nothing worked. One or two may have relieved the symptoms momentarily but the rash always came back.

A friend suggested putting breast milk on it. I did right before bed and the next morning it was a whole new butt back there. It is my go to cure now. It works with pumped, frozen/defrosted and 'fresh out the faucet' milk (although hubby says it's weird to watch me squirt it directly on their butts). Whatever it works! Just pour or squirt it on, let air dry for a minute and put on diaper. Can't hurt to try it.

This is so stupid. Not everyone has breastmilk readily available, idiot. Also, breastmilk does not cure AIDS. It does not cure cancer. I breastfed, but you breastfed fanatics need to chill the fuck out.

wow, you need to relax! if you don't have breast milk try something else. but again wow, relax, i am sure that attitude is not good for baby either

wow! The last three comments where horrible, you guys are the most intolerant people in the world! And yet, you provably even say that Christians are intolerant! (even though that has nothing to do with this, I'm just guessing since you guys are probably most definite not Christians.) Please, 'chill out', stop cursing, and simply don't comment if you're gonna be rude.

Now to the author of this post,
I'm definitely gonna try this. My little one has the biggest diaper rash, and to tell you the truth I've heard of this once and never tried it.

Thanks!

Lauralee

This really works. I tryed it with my 6m old and had tryed every thing eles and i saw this. Put is on and the next day is was so much better... Mother of two.

this is because the base in the milk neutralizes the acidity in the urine. you can also use reg whole milk. And why do ppl have to be so friggen rude!! geesh! sounds you are the one that need to chill the EFF out! get a life and stop being such assholes!!

Some of us don't have that option. I was under so much stress when my son was two months old, started a 103 degree fever and slowed dramatically in production of breast milk. By the time I in a less stressful environment it was to late I had already stopped producing. Trust me paying over a 100 bucks a month in formula is not exactly my idea of a good time. so people when you post something like this be curtious to others that are not as fortunate as you!

You are trying to excuse bad behavior...I'm not buying it...Suck it up!

I will definately try it. Thank you for posting! I had trouble breastfeeding but I did pump some milk and store it in the freezer. I will unfreeze and see if it works.

wow...this was just an IDEA for those who could get ahold of breastmilk. sounds like some of these people are a little jealous? How is sharing an idea to cure a diaper rash with breast milk not curtious? If this method doesn't suit you, move on and worry about your baby's bottom (which is most likely why you are here) and not about 'fanatics' or being 'courtious' sheesh...theres a million other options on here...
