This is what is clearing up my athlete's foot:

You will need 3 things: Sea Salt, Head & Shoulders dandruff shampoo, and Caladryl lotion. It's best to do this every night before bed. Don't skip a night. Be patient and vigilant. This will actually work.

1) In a bowl or plastic tub of warm/hot water, mix 1/2 teaspoon of SEA SALT and 1 teaspoon of Head & Shoulders DANDRUFF SHAMPOO and soak affected foot for 30 min.

2) After soaking for 30 min. rinse and dry affected area, and apply CALADRYL lotion. This is the pink stuff normally used for poison ivy. It will keep the itching down and probably works to keep it from spreading.

3) Practice good hygiene: Always wear clean socks and never wear shoes that are too old. Feet weren't made for shoes. Take off your shoes during the day, and go barefoot at home as much as possible. This will solve any foot odor problems while keeping your feet fresh and helping to make your shoes last longer.

4) The idea is to heal, not to attack. I know it's frustrating and you want to rip your toes off but absolutely never use harsh chemicals. The people on here claiming it works are saying that to amuse themselves. Harsh chemicals will poison and burn your skin, possibly very badly. Not only does it not work, but now your skin will have to heal from athlete's foot - plus chemical burns.
