Take lobelia, St. John's wort, and thyme in capsule form to help with mucus.

St. John's Wort and homeopathic remedies containing St. John's Wort have worked for me although not entirely. I have been careful, though, to take only 2-3 tabs every couple of hours. Not brave enough to take more. I have also noticed that St. John's W helps reduce the congestion in my lungs but also makes me mildly depressed or not as peppy as usual. St. John's Wort is supposed to be a natural antidepressant but for some strange reason it has the opposite effect on me. Anyway, antibiotics make me absolutely ill and weak and if I can in any way find a natural remedy that clears up my lungs I would be most happy. I also tried Wild Oregano Oil after a bout of antibiotics that I felt were killing me, and the Wild Oregano Oil helped tremendously after the antibiotics -- because I just couldn't stand the thought of going for more antibiotics. I'm not sure if that is why the Wild Oregano Oil was so efficient - due to the antibiotics taken first? Sometimes it seems like a hit & miss approach although I have had some very bad reactions to some antibiotics.
