This I think is a little much. Most of us in the world are hard workers that work many busy hours in our day. If you are using Suave hair products or other cheap brands, you are skimping yourself out. Put in a little more cash to purchase name brand hair care, and you will see healthy hair results. Also refrain from using blow-driers and straightining iorns (they RUIN hair!). Take vitamins. The remedie above sounds good, but not everyone has that much time to spend on their hair when they have 100 other things they need to get done in their day.

I find that a simple rinse of white vinegar after shampooing is quite healing of a dry itchy scalp. Works for me each winter.

It doesn't seem too can always put the stuff on your hair, throw on a shower cap and continue household chores.

It's not excessive at all' I have spent a great deal of money on hair care and it has done nothing for my scalp. My hair is soft shiny and seems to be healthy, my scalp on the other hand is terribly dry & itchy, it is very painful. I am going to try this remedy. Hopefully it helps.

This really works! We live in CO and the air here is dry. I began noticing my daughter had flakes on her scalp. We tried EVERYTHING. Every shampoo out there, all kinds of home remedies, we even went to the doctor. Nothing worked. I came upon this last night and said I might as well try it. My daughters scalp was so dry, it looked really bad. I warmed up the olive oil, and mixed all the ingredients in, and left it in her head for 2 1/2 hours. This morning when I checked her scalp she is flake free! We have been here for 3 1/2 years and have never been flake free! I would swear by this any day.

Just did it before I went to work at 6am. My scalp feels amazing. I just think I made to much because my hair isn't that long lol.

I tried this remedy recently and it did work for a short while but didn't last. Perhaps it needs to be repeated every couple of weeks? However, I'd like to mention that I reduced the olive oil by half b/c it seemed like WAY too much, and it was still too much. I have medium-length hair and it took 7 washings to get all the oil out of my hair! I had to wash with Dawn dish soap 3 times, as well as trying my regular shampoo a couple of times and a baking soda paste. After all was said and done, it wasn't worth the hassle and I spent two days of work with my hair slicked back in a greasy ponytail. Maybe I'll try it again with much less olive oil next time?

It's not how much oil you use, it's how well you wash your hair. It's quite hard o believe tat 6 washes didn't get out a quarter cup of oil. Maybe there was a tad too much, but the main problem is not washing right. I'm going to try this, hopefully it works.

i tried this and it didnt help can someone plz help me

Rachel.... the point of this remedy is to nourish your hair and scalp and replenish moisture.... why would you wash your hair with dawn in the first place, but also why would you wash your hair so many times to get everything out? haha goodness I swear people just dont use their brain.
