I have had migraines since I was about 18 yrs old. I have tried all kinds of new medication and nothing worked, I put pressure on my temples and that worked a little but I found a way to watch my kids and help the pain. I have my kids take turns sitting on my head. I know a little wierd but for a single mom with no one to help watch the kids so she can take a nap for 30 mins (more like 3 days) I found that it works and they often argue who gets to sit on mommys head.

I don't think this is weird at all. I am also a single mom and I have my girls stand on my back. At times it's better close to my neck and at other times it's my lower back. As long as they are standing there, I have no pain in my head but once they are off, it's a sudden rush of hurting again. I have had migraines since I was about 11 and my youngest daughter has them too.

It works for me too! My wife sometimes sits on the side of my head. The pressure and the warmth immediately ease the pain.

What a great idea. Being a single mom, this is a great way to have my little helper ease my pain and hopefully get me back in action. Applying pressure to the temples sure does help, and what kid doesn't enjoy using mommy as a jungle gym?!

I have GOT to tell my mother this one :). She will be so tickled. I've had miagraines since I was about 7 years old- I've delt with it all my life; I am now 20 years old and still am suffering from them. I've had EEG's, EKG's, CAT Scans and soooo much more.. they found cysts in my corpus callosum and they say it doesn't cause miagraines but I did some research of mine own- it does affect the ways between a regular headache and an excrusiating miagraine. When this happens I have upset stomach, sensitive vision, nose bleeds, temporary blindness- it's really bad. But back to you; I thought I was the only one who had my baby sister sit on my head and walk on my back to ease the pain :) . This is great.

rubbibg my fingers on my temple feels good but as long as i stay rubbing it,,i don't have anykids but if i could get a woman to sit on my head i might forget about my migranes for a

Another thing you can try is a heating pad. Just plug-in and stick on the spot that hurts.
