First i will give you my remedy then my story!

You take......
4 BIG Tablespoons of garlic
some water
some olive oil enough to fully cover the bottom of a sauce pan
chop up some onion
let it simmer (stir occasionally) until the garlic looks chunky and dry then strain the juice into a bowl or cup and use an eye dropper or siringe and put it into your ear hold your head sideways for about 5-10 min.

My story......
this is the first ear ache i have had in my 21 years of life and it was AWEFUL.... the worst part is i have no insurance i got online and found this web site while i was searching everyone kept saying how the onion was good for this, garlic good for this, sweet oil (olive oil) soothed but, no one conbined those things so i tried it and it works FANTASTIC i will swear by it from now on!i am not a believer in the whole herbs thing but, this has definately changed my mind and i truely hope and know it will work for you or whom ever! i hope it works and you/they get better!

I did a variant of this and I must say, it's helping loads.

I've put up with an ear infection for days now. I broke down and went to the doc, then got sent home with antibiotics. Most of the stuff cleared up with the meds, but I still had a part of my ear canal that was swollen nearly shut, and I had lots of fluid on my ear with still building pressure. I finally gave in and tried a warm bit of onion (I've used it for other things) over the swollen opening, and the swelling eased enough for me to feel fluid move. Then I stumbled on this remedy... I took a small slice of onion and garlic, crushed it to get the juices flowing, and submerged the pieces in some olive oil. After a couple of minutes in the microwave, I stirred and crushed the garlic and onion a bit more. By the time it was cooled enough to use, it was smelling of both, but not horribly unpleasant. I took a bit of cotton, dipped it in the warm oil, and settled it in the opening of my ear. After about 20 minutes, the swelling in my ear canal had almost completely subsided. I could almost hear clearly from the affected ear. There's still a bit of fluid, but I can tell it's draining a bit better. I'll be popping decongestants for a couple of days.

Thanks for some long-awaited relief.

Cheers!

If it don't cure the earache it'll sure make it taste better =)

I did not do all of the ingredients listed but I did try the olive oil and garlic trick for my two year old who has been crying for the last 2 hours about her ear hurting. I put about 3 drops in her ear and also put some of it on a cotton ball and put it to her ear and had her lay on the opposite ear for about 5-7 minutes- all that she could stand. She now says that her ear is better, though she smells like garlic!!! I have always heard that garlic has natural antibiotic properties, but never tried it before. Seems to work, we'll see in the morning!!
