OK I did the borax thing tonight. I put it everywhere even in my bed... Also If you take 50% Dawn dish soap 50% water and work it into your dog and make a good lather the take a spray bottle with water and lather it up even more I LEFT IT ON FOR A HALF HR.. Its says 5 mins BUT I did a half hr.. It kills the fleas right before your eyes. Then I have would floors also so I to the dawn mixture and scrubbed the floors with that.. So I will let everyone know the out come... I have two golden's and they are going crazy and I feel so helpless.. I didn't know that fleas could make them sick... It's been a hr since I did the dawn mixture on them had they have not scratched since..

hello,I received a puppy(Toti) as a gift from a friend who had a litter. She mentioned she bathed her dogs with Dawn as it's suppossed to keep fleas away.Well, I had Dawn anyway, because it was on sale. That's what I used and Toti never had fleas.Well,I ran out of it,and bought dog shampoo. Now my puppy was flea infested.I removed them tonight by hand.I will go out tonight and buy Dawn.I'll keep you posted. By the way,it was a drawn out bath with Joy,fine toothed comb, and crushing them with said comb.hopefully,Dawn will keep them away.I should have listened.

Dawn dish soap is the god of all flea remedies. My Chihuahua Obi Wan was covered in them this morning and I washed him in it, and this afternoon he's clean and free. I have found a few dead ones, but I've been checking and rechecking to be sure that no other bugs emerge and so far nothing. I had to do it twice because I forgot to make a soap ring around his neck and chin, but after that it worked like a charm. Also I sprayed my other dog down with a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water and he seems to be resisting catching them. You also have to wash their bedding, and recommend putting a cup of apple cider vinegar in with your detergent to make sure that the little critters don't want to stay there either. Also put salt and Borax in your vacuum cleaner so that when you suck them up the eggs with get dehydrated so that they can't hatch and the borax with cut the fleas and dry them out so they die, and you don't have to change the bag every time you use your vacuum. Also I don't recommend using dawn every time you wash your dog. Its okay to kill the fleas, but its too harsh to use on them every time. Also be REALLY sure to get it all off, cause it can cause a filmy residue on your pets skin and give him some really ugly skin conditions.
