For non-genital areas of the body, you can apply over the counter lotrimin - it's for athlete's foot, works great on humans and dogs. For yeast infection in the mouth, also called thrush, you can use an herbal liquid called gentian violet, just ask your pharmacist at the local drug store. It's less than $5, apply 3 times daily, coating the entire inside of the mouth. It's a very vivid shade of purple that will stain anything you get it on but it works, especially on infants who have been on lots of antibiotics.
