For bad ear aches/infections squeeze lemon juice in your ear, keep it in for a few seconds, then let it drain out. I put a towel over my ear so it doesn't drain into my hair...that gets pretty sticky! The lemon has to do with changing the Ph levels in your ear. The bacteria is a base, and if you add the lemon, an acid, it neutralizes the Ph levels in your ear so that the bacteria cannot live in there!

My SIL told me to use this. she swore by this remedy. I tried this on my son this morning and I have to say nothing happened. He stopped crying for a minute or two (probably because I was sticking stuff in his ears). Anyways went to a clinic and got some antibiotics so hopefully that works.

I also put the rice bag on him.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! My ear has been hurting so bad for 2 days and I don't like going to the dr for medicine unless absolutely necessary. I dropped in a few drops of lemon juice from a lemon and left it for about a min or 2 and the pain is gone. Just have a little soreness in my throat from before. And I didn't get a bad pain when I first dropped it in- like I previously read from others. I guess everyone is different. AGAIN... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

My son is 2. I noticed his ear was COMPLETELY crusted shut. He could not hear out of it. I immediately knew he had a severe ear infection. I got online looking for home remedies and lemon juice was easy and something that we have in out house. I tried it WHILE HE WAS SLEEPING. He never woke up and I watched the puss and crust dissolve. It worked great.

i woke up in the middle of the night with inner ear pain due to a cold i've had the past couple days. i googled this site and read literally every single remedy. after trying a warm compress next to my ear with no results i decided to try the lemon juice one because it seemed like the most non invasive. i did it several times with both diluted and non diluted lemon juice. i honestly didn't experience any difference. my ear still hurts. i was so excited after reading all the comments too, i thought it would work.

Hello my name is armando.. I am 21 years old and threw out my life, I have gotten ear aches / ear infections. Mostly cause of water stuck in my ear.. A few days ago I got one. And I've tried everything in the past.. Believe me, doctors.. ear drops.. And the rue plant, that people say has worked. Nothing had ever worked for me. so I didn't evan want to try anything new. About 3 days ago, I couldn't sleep due to the pain from the ear infection.. So I was looking online and I came across this website. I read about the lemon drops in the ear. I thought why not try it.... So I went to my backyard to cut a lemon from one of our trees. We have 3 lemon trees by the way.. So, I quickly put a few drops in my infected ear and left them for about 8 seconds. Then let the lemon juice out.. The next morning I tried it again. And last night I tried it one more time. And now.. I have no pain.. No ear infection and I can hear from my ear. I would like to thank the person who recomended this. It really worked for me..

This did not work for me, it made it worse, course I did leave it in there for more than a few seconds, now I can hear less than before.
