I am desperate and will try anything to get rid of these fleas. My two year old is getting eatten up. I sprinkled salt through out my house but my question is how long do I leave it down before I vacuum it up. And, how heavy a coating of salt do I need?

Salt has an incredible number of uses, including this home remedy for ridding your house of fleas. Use this simple mineral to break the cycle of fleas, larvae, fleas and larvae, once and for
Things You’ll Need:
Dehydrate Those Pesky Critters
Vacuum your home's carpets thoroughly. Sprinkle table salt liberally all over your carpets. Fleas and larvae will eat the salt and dehydrate and die.
Leave salt down for a week or less depending on whether you live in an area of high humidity; the higher the humidity, the greater the chance of large numbers of fleas.
Vacuum your carpets thoroughly again after a week, and you should have no more fleas.
