Last night, after watching my husband deal with extreme discomfort for nearly an hour, I mixed up one of the ideas here. I squeezed the juice of a lemon into a glass, added two tablespoons of Apple cider vinegar and two tablespoons of olive oil, and asked him to give it a try. Within fifteen minutes, he had stopped pacing the floor and was able to sit down. Soon after, he was asleep and slept throughout he night. This man is an MD and a Ph.D. He's still skeptical, saying the oil would not pass into the urine stream, but he is in the OR(working) this morning instead of us being in the ER last night!

Omg yes this has been very helpful! My husband is a truck driver and he came home two days before Christmas in major pain, took him to the doctor on Christmas eve. Was given some antibiotics and Norco. Nothing helped, after being up with him all through the night I finally read your post and after some convincing he finally took it and was amazed at how soon it started to work. Thank you for sharing. On my way to the kitchen now to fix another batch. Hopefully we can have this beat before he goes back out on the road. And hopefully he can get a great night sleep tonight.

I have suffered from kidney stones for several years now. Many passed on their own. Finally I had one too large to pass and scheduled a procedure to have is broken up only to find it was going to cost me about $800 up front for my insurance deductible to the outpatient surgery center. I cancelled the procedure and begin searching online for home remedies. The one I found first was drinking 1/4 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice. I mixed in just enough honey to make it tolerable and gulped it down like a shot of liquor. That was all it took. The pain went away as did the blood in my urine. I never saw the stone so it must have dissolved it completely. I have experience several more episodes of kidney stones since that time and as soon as the pain begins and there is blood in my urine I drink the lemon juice and it is gone. I have to agree with what I read above that olive oil is not going to get into your urinary tract system to lubricate it. All my body needed was the deluge of acid from the lemon juice to force my body to respond to counteract that and dissolve the stone in the process. What irritates me is that the medical community is so quick to schedule an expensive medical procedure without mentioning such a simple solution that could take care of the problem. A quarter cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice is all you need!
