Pick at it with a pair of tweezers until you cant stand it anymore. In a few days, just squeeze it and all the pressure will be relieved.

That sounds painful and unsanitary. I recommend getting just a normal treatment from the store, soaking your foot in Epsom Salt, keeping the toe in an open shoe as much as possible, and keeping it clean.

this is a horrible idea, never pick at anything until you can't stand it, insert the BLUNT end of a needle under the ingrown corner and lift upwards, then clip as much of the exposed nail as possible, this will be extremely painful for a few moments but it will quickly correct it

After the most painful experience of my life, having a doctor who seemed to take joy in torturing a 9 year old by cutting out a neglected ingrown toenail. But Mom got me an ice cream after and I stuck it on my toe, ahhh! I have another one now at age 54 and will follow the commentor's advise. It's very sound indeed.
Thanks.

Clipping the nail will just make the problem repeat itself when it starts to grow again, so I wouldn't recommend that... unless you want to deal with the pain again at a later date. My doctor told me to use the tweezer idea, it does work.

Ooooooh, not good! I am in flipping agony right now with my honkin' ingorwn toenail but I know better than to try your method because squeezing anything, even zits, can push the pus & serous fluid deeper into the skin layers & may possibly even get in your blood stream causing you to go septic, which can lead to death! Perhaps your intentions were good, but this is so not the way to go about curing ingrown toenails.
