I don't know if this treats mange in cats and dogs or not, but anytime my cats or dogs have scabs, I rub pure shea butter liberally right on the spot, fur and all. Scabs heal up beautifully in a few days. And shea butter appears to be safe for pets. Parasites cannot travel thru shea butter. One day we discovered that my female dog had chewed a large patch of fur off of her rump. Her skin was red, itchy and scaly. The fur was falling off in clumps. I rubbed a liberal supply of shea butter on the bare area with several re-applications over several days and her fur grew back beautifully, with no further itching in that area. Perhaps this remedy works for mange. I know it works for scabs.
