I have just recently begun being plagued with RLS. It's been horrible. Not much sleep lately. Last night was really bad. I was very tired but had to keep getting up and did not sleep. Until... I laid on my back with pillows under my knees. I then laid a heavy icepack on top of my ankles and then, feeling that some extra weight would be helpful, I piled a bunch more pillows on top of that. I quickly noticed some relief. Enough to fall right to sleep.

It is recommended to never place a pillow under the knees. It has been known to contribute to blood clots and DVT. Consider elevating legs by either propping up the foot of the bed or placing pillow under the calf & ankle.

Have had restlessleg syndrome for over four years,..drink tonic water and then the next day start a regiment of one banana per day and also rub a mixture of alcohol rub with some Epsom salt in it,..about a tablespoon it helps a lot
