This definitely works! I'd tried Orajel (20\\\\% Benzocaine) and it would only help for an hour or two, tops. I was at an Advil Liqui-gel every 2 hours as well, just to help manage the pain so it was somewhat bearable. Even with the Advil, a 1-minute Listerine rinse, and the Orajel, I was still up every 2 hours. I had some left over Norco (Hydrocodone/Ibuprofin) from a previous surgery and even that did nothing more than the Advil for the pain.

However, I picked up one of the Red Cross Toothache Kits after hearing about it on here and checking into the Clove Oil (Eugenol) and it works like a charm. Beware the warnings about letting it come into contact with other areas of your mouth, because this stuff can burn a lot, but it numbs the pain almost instantly. Better yet, it kept the pain away for over 5 hours, so I was finally able to get some good sleep. Defiantly try this if, like me, you are having difficulty getting anything else to work!

t does work great...the pain is a lot from bacteria and the stuff kills it and has pain deadening properties..i had some straight clove oil and every time the pain crops up a stick a tiny amount in , it only takes a small amount..the oil is real strong..can numb the rest of your mouth too so i only go a small drop...the temp kit i have yet to try but i hear its a wonder...

I had an exposed nerve in my back molar due to a tooth that broke off at the top and boy do I tell you... the pain was nearly unbearable. I was at my desk at work just groaning and moaning about how much it hurt and unable to sleep at night. I had nerve pain travelling from my jaw, to across my face, down my neck and into my right ear. Just sharp, jabbing pains that were so intense it made me jump each time the nerve pain travelled. I came across a YouTube channel after searching in desperation after my dentist told me he couldn't see me until late in the afternoon the next day and came across the red cross toothache. I immediately sent my husband to the Rite Aid pharmacy down the street and I am sooo glad I did. I placed the little cotton ball on my tooth at exactly 7:47 pm. by 7:50 pm the pain was numb in my tooth. This stuff burns a lot thought but it was so worth it. I applied it two more times through the night and then around 4 am I got this huge pressure filled pain in my tooth and a pop. It hurt like nobody business... I took a look in my cracked tooth and it was filled with blood. After a minute or two, the pain completely subsided... I hadn't applied the red cross toothache for at least a few hours and I haven't applied it again yet and it's now almost 12 noon. No nerve pain throughout my face, no aching tooth, no throbbing headache. I believe that pop was this stuff killing the nerve. It's almost as if it had no pain there at all. Mind you, I was dealing with this tooth pain for at least 3 months and this stuff fixed it on my worst day in a matter of a few hours. I will keep my medicine cabinet supplied with this stuff always. I highly recommend to anyone experiencing unbearable tooth pain. For exposed nerves, it will kill the nerve!!
