I used to get cramps bad even in upper legs. My friends mother recommended her grandmothers secret: take 1/2 teaspoon ginger (powdered kind) chase it with some milk. Don't know how it works but better than any pain reliever I've ever used. The milk tames the flavor.

I just tried this not 5 minutes ago. And it worked!!! My cramps are so horrible that I have to be type of birth control that stops my periods completely, the pill just makes the pain tolerable. My cramps aren't gone completely but I feel like I'll be good with a couple Advil.
