take 500mg to 2000mg of niacinamide(not niacin) a day! google it and you'll find more then I can tell you. i've been taking it for about a week and it seems to be helping quite a bit already. it works the same way as valium and similar drugs without the side effects(its not a sedative). many people claim it works better then prescription drugs. Its about $6 for a bottle of 100 500mg caps!!! it could take up to a few weeks so be patient

I would like to try this, but you recommend 500-2000 mg./day, whereas the U.S. RDA for a woman my age is only 13 mg./day and the information I read suggests that this can be very dangerous at higher doses. I'm very confused now, and unsure of what to do...can you cite any reliable sources to back up the safety of taking the higher doses? I can't seem to find anything useful.


Go to Wikipedia and type in Nicotinamide. This website states you should only consume 3 grams of Nicotinamide. 500 mg to 2000 mg should not be considered toxic. You should probably consult a professional if you are concerned.


I have personally found Niacin to work better than Niacinamide...But we all have diff genetic makeups...Just a warning, you get super red for about 15 mins & a tad itchy [flush] and then it subsides. Now if this scares you, get Niacinamide, it doesn't make you flush. I wish you all the best, I have had this prob for over a decade. Oh chamomile/ Green tea is good to sip on throughout the day too!


I have also found niacinamide to reduce symptoms of panic and anxiety. Niacinamide and nicotinamide are the same but differ slightly from niacin. Best to Google niacinamide. It may work in a way similar to benzodiazepines' Read up on it there. Anyways I highly recommend giving it a try.
