My mom used to make this when I was younger and no it taste not so great, it works!
4 cups water
4 to 6 mint tea bags
1 whole lemon
3 cloves of garlic (small cloves)
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Honey to taste

Boil water, add some mint tea bags (make it just like you would make tea).Remove pan from the burner and allow the tea bags to steep. When the tea is done steeping add lemon, garlic, cayenne and honey. Return to heat and allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Checking it periodically and stirring. After 10 minutes remove from heat and pour in a mug.

I know it won't taste all that great but it seemed to clear up my sinus' and help with my cough.
