My wife was having some pretty pain from food poisoning, and the only thing that seemed to relieve the pain the most was plain yogurt (or buttermilk) and garlic blended together. Obviously you would want to peel the pieces that you use and as far as amount it will all depend on how much you'd like to make and the strength of the garlic you can tolerate. The good thing is that the addition of the yogurt will offset the taste of the garlic.
