take a clean long sock, most likely a mens sock, put about a cup of rice in the sock and heat it in the microwave for about a min. then put it on the ear that is hurting and take some pain med. not only does this take away the pressure causing the pain but if you do this often enough it will drain the build up in your ear

This sounded like a very strange solution, but after dealing with a crying 4 yrs old for 4 hours i was willing to try anything. Almost immediately after applying to the ear you couldsee a sense of relief on her face. Within 15 minutes she was asleep. Thanks for this remedy. Will use again.

I was really in pain ans was willing to try anything. The sock remedy seemed easiest. In ten minutes I was sound asleep and woke the next morning pain free and with hearing in the ear.
I will try this with my kids the next time they complain of ear pain.
