I've had ringworm for 5 months now. I got it from my cat. It started on my inner thigh, I had it for a few weeks before I realized it was ringworm. I bought OTC cream and fungal soap but it didn't help. Since I babysit as a living I started putting band aids over it and wore jeans because I was terrified of it spreading to the kids.

Putting band aids over it is a bad idea, I didn't realize that until about 2 months into having it. Which it spread to my other thigh, bikini line, my outer labia and my butt. I stopped putting band aids over it.

I finally went to an urgent care and they prescribed me some pills to take, those didn't help so I went back in and got ointment, that didn't help at all.

By the 4th month I started spraying on rubbing alcohol 4-6 times a day on it and i FINALLY saw some changes. It dried out, so well that I could barely see it anymore.

But unfortunately I still have it. I'm back to using my left over prescribed ringworm ointment.

I want to give up, I just want this I go away.

Does anyone have any good home remedies? IM DESPERATE!

I had ringworm under my breasts and between my left thigh and vaginal area for two months. Got rid of it completely with Monistat cream-- used for two 7 day cycles. Kept the areas cool and dry. Avoid sweating.

use any azole cream. Miconazole or clotrimazole. I personally used clotrimazole n it went within 2 weeks. After bath take a jug of water n pour some dettol or savlon ove it. so dat d water turns whitish. wipe d affected area wid a soft cloth soaked in dat water. After it is dried put the miconazole or clotrimazole cream over it. after one hour dat cream wil dry off so put clotrimazole powder over the affected area. keep puttin d powder three tyms a dae. The rashes wil vanish within a week.
If it itches too much u can apply calamine lotion while sleepin. It wil reduce d itchin.

Bleach on a rag for 30-60 seconds 3-6 times a day. And salt water. It grows in warm moist areas (that's why wrestlers always get it, myself included) so dry it out. Then was all your sheets, clothes, ect to prevent it from comin back. Usually takes a week or less for me, maybe two depending on how well you have taken care of it and if you found it in the beginning stage.

This worked for me and only took about two weeks to get rid of it 100%. Athletes foot spray its kinda cold and burns a little but it does work.

Try using APPLE CIDER VINERGAR OVER THE AFFECTED AREA 2X's a day. Do not dilute it. Dry area after showering using a blow dryer to thoroughly dry area and avoid spreading. Also try Zeasorb powder on it 2x's a day. Do this for at least for weeks. Longer if you must.

I used Absorbine Jr., but could not stand the smell, so I ordered 100% aloe from Amazon. Its called Fruit of the Earth, and is 100% aloe,(NO alcohol!) although they do put a preservative in it, so it wont mold. This has been my God-send! I was covered over 3/4 of my body, and new ones kept popping up. This stopped the new ones, and dried out the old ones, PLUS...its safe to use! I put it on three times a day, and then put on 100% cotton long nightgown. It took care of it in one day, and this is my third day, and they have all faded, or are dried up, and getting ready to. I looked at the ingredients of Absorbine Jr., and the first one is acetone? WHY are we doing this to ourselves when aloe has curative properties? (Look it up) Just don't use the aloe with lidocaine, I tried it while waiting for my mine to get here, and it did nothing (except stink). The Fruit of the Earth worked immediately, and not only is it safe for your body, its good for your body! I went through 3/4 of a bottle in two days, so stock up, since you are supposed to continue treatment for two weeks AFTER your last one has completely vanished. I am going to have to order more, but I want to be safe, and not smell stinky vapors that apple cider vinegar and Absorbine Jr. dispel!

Your cat will be a leftime carrier of ringworm. So if you plan on keepeing it, I suggest keeping it away from other animals, keep it contained to an area you can easily clean and wash your hands frequently.
