i don't know where you heard that from, but it's completely false. your body doesn't know what time it is. it is true, however, that sleep is needed to help the body recover. while you are in a deep stage of sleep is when your body heals itself the most. Whether or not that sleep is taken during the day or at night, makes no difference. the important thing is getting the rest.

i read this in a book by a guy named kevin treudeu..the book is called ''Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About''. I myself have never tryed it but eh it might work.


For the person who said this is completely false, how do you know? Do you have data to back up your statement up. You don't have to take the advise and sleep between 10pm and 6am, but knock someone else who is trying to be helpful. whether it's true or not, a well rested body is more able to take care of it's self than one lacking rest.


This cannot be a total false. Then how do we wake from sleep in the morning at a regular time. There seems to be a special time keeper within us which is much more than the modern atomic watch.


It is not the external time (aka 10pm to 6am) but your body's internal bio-clock (so to speak) is the deciding factor when it comes to resting and the working of your immune system to its best. That, it is fitting into 10pm to 6am is just a natural coinsidence. Whenever time period (may it be 11am to 5pm you sleep as a standard all days for a long time, your body will have its cycle settled to that time and will be able to rest with most effectively at that time.
The only factor that cn alter this is the sunlight you are exposed to: if you rest most of the day and have a settled in lifestyle it may come back later as an effect of not having enough natural light: so whenever you sleep make sure you get enough of the lovely sun and you'll be surely okay.


Sleeping in night is better than sleeping in day. Our body releases few hormones only in darkness which are very crucial for healthy living. So, it's always better to make sure the room is dark enough while sleeping (even low power bulbs create problem). Though I dont think there is any specific timing for that.
