My provider arrived today with a terrible toothache, and a swollen cheek over the upper molar offender. I looked at a lot of the treatments here, at least 25, and kept seeing a clove of garlic mixed with very warm water and large amount of salt. We decided to try it. I heated a half a cup of purified water, added minced garlic - a half teaspoon - and mixed in good tablespoon and a half of ground sea salt. Had my provider soak a cotton ball in the mixture and place over her tooth (squeezed out SOME of the salt water first and made sure some garlic bits were on the tooth-side of the cotton ball). Within a few minutes her pain was subsiding, and her tooth, jaw and cheek were COMPLETELY pain free after 3 treatments!! (She kept the salty, garlic soaked cotton ball on her tooth for just a few minutes each time.) I wouldn't have believed it, had I not seen it!!! My provider arrived in agony, and went home in peace!!!

I'm almost in tears. The unbearable pain came on so suddenly, I was crawling out of my skin. I tried just salt water. Didn't help much. I'm on my third cotton ball with warm water, sea salt and minced onion. I feel a better, so I'll try another treatment or two.

I was very sceptical that this would work but was in so much pain that I was willing to try anything! To my surprise it worked!!!! I have passed it on to my dentist also. Thank you so much!

Been up almost the entire night with a severe tooth ache in my molar. Every time I fell asleep the pain would come back within half an hour throbbing and almost worse than before. Whatever I tried (Advil, orajel, other remedies) would not dull pain quickly and it usually took a good 20-30 minutes for the pain to lessen. I tried this remedy and pain subsided within minutes. Definitely helpful until I can get to the dentist tomorrow. Thanks for this suggestion!

I tried this today along with several other remedies, but this one worked far better than any other. I had been popping pain pills and Ibuprofen for several days prior to this remedy. I mixed about one cup of water heated for one minute in microwave with two garlic cloves (the reason being my garlic press doesn't put out much garlic for the first clove) and added one teaspoon of table salt and one package of powdered aspirin (which may not be necessary). I used a 4 inch gauze that was cut into 4 squares. I dipped the gauze in the solution and put it into my mouth and left it there for about 20 minutes. It was a little more painful at first but I waited for the pain to go away. I pulled it out and it has been about 3 hours now with no more pain and I can finally get some sleep. I have to say this may work better than any pain medication and probably a lot better and cheaper for you. It works!
