Mix together toothpaste and salt and apply to the rash. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes and wash off with bar soap (preferably Dial). Dries out the rash and stops itching. :)

I have been suffering with poison ivy on my wrist for the past week. I have tried everything and nothing has worked. I even tried baking soda and it worked while the paste was on but as soon as it was taken off the itch was back. I tried the salt and toothpaste mixture and let it sit for ten minutes then washed with a bar soap. For the first time in a week I am itch free. Thank you

I have a friend that has poison ivy on her face and I was wondering if it would get rid of the rash too? And do you think it would be safe to put it on her face?

I just applied this remadi and it is by far the best one i have used. I've had poison ivy for 2 months now and have been through 4 tubes of prescribed portion and none of them worked for more than an hour. with the toothpaste and salt i apply it once in the morning and once at night and it work great!

I just now tired it.
It doesn't irritate my skin and I haven't been
feeling any itching sensation.
Thanks for sharing!

Sitting here with your remedy on my face and arms. Ahhh, cooling sensation. Really hoping this stops my PI from spreading. When I get this nasty evil I get it really bad, wasting lots of money and time for nothing. Thanks for sharing.

Attempting this as I type because this PI is spreading everywhere on me and it won't stop oozing! Does it matter the kind of toothpaste?

Does it work even if the bubbles haven't been popped?

I'm 35 years old and have never had poison ivy, but I'm pretty sure that I have a small patch of it now! It's been driving me crazy, so I decided to look online for home remedies tonight before I hurt someone, haha! Thank you SO much for posting this. Of all the ones I read, this just seemed like it'd be the least painful and easiest to try, so I gave it a whirl. The relief was immediate! Who knew?! Again, thank you. :)
