My ears itch a lot, but putting a little vinegar in them in the morning in the shower makes this go away.

I didn't do this for a few weeks when I was traveling however, and I got a medium bad ear infection that kept coming back. I tried some different remedies - I put vinegar in it repeatedly, which seemed to hold off the infection part, but I still couldn't hear and the infection kept coming back. I also tried the onion method, and it seemed to help a little, but not a lot.

Then my friend gave me one of those ear bulbs from the drugstore with the solution they come with (carbamide peroxide). I put that stuff in my ear, let it bubble for a few minutes then rinsed it out with the bulb in the shower. A bunch of gross stuff came out and suddenly I could hear! It was amazing and felt better right away. I had been sure there was nothing in my ear because I could put a q-tip or my finger way in there, but I must have gotten stuff right up next to the ear drum (no more q-tips for me!)

I think if you just have a regular ear infection, those other remedies might work, but if there is any blockage, that stuff needs to come out or the infection will keep coming back. The otic rinse solution from the store worked great for me! I feel sooooo much better!

Q: 'I looked up otic rinse solution but can only seem to find it for pets...is there a solution made for humans?'

A: I just purchased some ear cleaner from Walgreens yesterday. I had a hard time finding it, but finally did - it was located near the 'swimmers ear' remedies.
~ Hope this helps! :)

Any idea if this is safe while I have tubes in my ears? I have had at least one ear infection every month for almost a year now. I have built up a resistance to most antibiotics, had tubes put in a couple months ago and nothing has changed! My drainage has progressed from water like to thick puss. If this isn't safe to use with tubes- any suggestions?!
