Queeze 4 lemons add some sugar to sweeten the juice, then drink it (as it is, do not add water). The acid of the juice will kill all bacteria, works in less then 30 min!
I had food poisoning for 2 days with 41°C fever,.. then the juice fixed me in 30 minutes! It was my mum's advise!

Yum, I wonder if you can use honey instead of the sugar. Would have to warm it up though. Will try next time.

This remedy works beautifully. My mother was up all night vomiting after a bizarre trip to a Chinese buffet. I stumbled across this site in an attempt to help her (she already tried every remedy she could think of), and luckily I found this one. It helped her in less than 30 minutes, as well.

This did not work. It's been 40 minutes, and my stomack still aches!

A life saver. I tried this rememdy at 4 a.m. and felt relief within 15 minutes. The nausea left and I was able to sleep. I'll remember this and pass the info along to all my friends and family. Thanks a million!!

This remedy was a life saver! I'd had bacterial food poisoining for two days after an unfortunate tuna sandwich eaten at LAX (my mistake), and it seemed as though it wasn't getting any better. Out of desperation, I surfed the web and found this site and tried the remedy. Warning...during the first 10 minutes, you'll feel as though you drank hemlock -- the acid does not go down well or feel good as it is killing the bacteria; resist the urge to purge the mixture as it will work within about 45 at the latest (at least it did for me). Thank you so much!

This is my new favorite remedy for food poisoning. I had a bad case of food poisoning by eating bad shrimp from a restaurant. I drank the lemon juice and started feeling better within 15 minutes. This really does work!!!

For me, it took about an hour. Worked great though! Thanks!

thanks a lot. the bloating, the giddiness, the loose motions came to a standstill. i was actually not feeling dehydrated and could stand up after 30 mins. wow!!!!!
good work. keep it up.

Be careful with the sugar. The sugar may make your condition worse, by feeding the bad bacteria in your digestive system wreaking the havoc in the first place, and may make diarrhea worse. Ideally, you shouldn't be having any sugar at all.
A better remedy is to take 2 TBS of apple cider vinegar (do not dilute) at the first symptoms of food poisoning. ACV has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral properties, though it can taste pretty nasty. This treatment worked for me after eating some bad turkey and having awful vomiting and diarrhea.
*A note about drinking very acidic fluids like ACV and lemon juice...make sure you follow with a baking soda (alkaline) rinse (do not swallow, just rinse) so your tooth enamel doesn't erode away.

WOW -- my wife got hit out of the blue after eating some cake w/cream cheese icing. We found this site after she'd been suffering for about 5 hours (no vomiting, but frequent bathroom trips) and drinking only water.

With no fresh lemons available, she tried straight lemon juice -- around 1/2 cup, undiluted. Per one of the other comments here, she rinsed immediately with a baking soda solution. Within 5-10 minutes she was already feeling noticeably better (cramping had subsided), and within 30-45 minutes she was feeling well enough to no longer have to sit straight up -- a big improvement.

NOTE: she's 35 weeks pregnant, in case anyone finds this site and is in the same predicament.
