I've heard hot water bottles or heating pads and things of the such help, but it must depend on the person because I have personaly tried it and layed there for an hour before getting fed up with it because the pain NEVER even lessened...

nEVER TRIED THE WATER THING, BUT A HEATING PAD WORKS FOR ME. HOWEVER THE BEST MEDICATION I HAVE TRIED THAT I CAN ONLY GET NOW IN P.R. IS 'ANAPROX'

maybe not in 10 seconds but for some people hot water bottles and heating pads do work. I swear by my heating pad.

it really works for me but definitely not 10 secs tho, usually 10-15 min for me

Im not sure about the hot water bottle, but it probably does work because heating pads sure do. i have even tried hot rags on the painful area and it helped too.

Water bottles work for me. I prefer heating pads though, they're quicker and stay hot for longer.

FYI

For me, taking ibuprophen is a survival-must at that time of month, (as acetaminophen just puts me to sleep), & the addition of using empty 2 liter soda bottles, filled up as hot water bottles, & resting them against the lower back & tummy area, works wonders & helps me take less ibuprophen all in all, which is my main goal, due to the concerns over liver problems resulting from its' use, etc..

Hot water bottles do work, but for some people, cramps are relieved by cold rather than hot. Perhaps if hot hasn't worked for you, try ice?

I've tried Flexeze Heat Patches. They're great, stay warm for ages, too.
