To help fend off Alzheimer's Disease, eat a diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables, exercise at least 30 minutes per day at least 3 times per week so that you find it a bit difficult to talk as you are exercising (a brisk walking pace is a good example), drink 8-10 avg. glasses of water per day (sip all day if you find it hard to drink a full glass at once) and do crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, or math problems everyday. Exercising your brain is just as important as exercising your body when it comes to helping it defend against Alzheimer's Disease!

I work on alzhiemers unit....if it was so simple it would be is a horrible disease.....very degrading, and debilitating....u cannot imagine the horror of waking up every day....lost and afraid...wondering why am.i here and not home...or looking for spouse,
