I have suffered with UTIs for years and recently found 'D-Mannose' and it has been a miracle. I took 2000mg 4 times a day and felt significantly better in 2 days, but kept the regimen up for 5 days. This product has been around for some time, but for some reason has not gotten nearly the attention that cranberry has, but it actually works! (unlike cranberry for me.) You can pick it up at a natural foods store or order it online. It can also be taken daily to prevent UTIs as well! Please try it, feel better and get back to your life!

I second this 1000 percent. D-Mannose is a miracle pill! I suffered from UTI's for years. I would go to the doctor every time I had an infection (of course they tested me, there was no need. I KNEW!) and had to go through the same routine in order to get an RX. Yes, RX's worked but I was sick of going through the same cycle every few months or so (sometimes weeks). Unfortunately, I was laid off from my job a year ago and an infection hit when I had no insurance. I was petrified and desperate. I researched on the internet and discovered D-Mannose. I figured I'd try it and raced out to the vitamin shoppe like a madwoman. I took 2 capsules every 4 hours until the symptoms went away and also drank 2 full gallons of cranberry juice (100 percent juice) to flush my system and I was better within 24 hours. I take 2 capsules daily and I haven't had an infection since. I swear by this stuff, it has literally saved my life.

I have had great success with the D-Mannose for e-coli, but now I am growing out an intestinal bacteria called enterococcus.

I have had success with D-Mannose once before & 100% cranberry juice. I was just wondering where does enterococcus come from? Is it from the D-Mannose itself or from antibioics, just a little more about it to understand. I have suffered a lot from utis and antibiotics kill all your good bacteria leaving room for growth of yeast infections and more utis. I also suggest take acidophilus pills to maintain the balance when taking antibiotics because thats something the doctoes dont tell you.

I have suffered with UTI's for more than 20 years. Antibiotics were starting to fail. I read Suzanne Summer's book and learned of D-Mannose.
It really is a miracle and I try to keep it in my cabinet always. Cranberry pills do not work for me nor does the real juice. Stay away from alcohol and coffee and drink tons of water.
